How to analyse hands?

Hi, i play sngs on 888. I am interested in improving my poker game, especially my postflop game. But i am not sure how to do it. I have hm2, but dont know how to use it to analyse hands. How do i chose the important hands and how do i analyse them?

Re: How to analyse hands?

You can mark hands 'For review' on HM2 while playing. I generally mark any hand in which I had a difficult decision or feel I mis-played the hand.
When reviewing hands try to think about villains range on each street and your equity versus that range. Use equilab [free equity calculator]. Think about the alternative actions on each street and the advantages and disadvantages to each one. Think about different bet sizings. Post hands on this forum.

Re: How to analyse hands?

Watch a couple of vids from good players of your favorite format on twitch or youtube as starter.
Mark hands you played and want to analyze during the game (hotkeys possible) and ask better players for help in forum, skype study group or w/e.

If you commute i would start listening to pod casts. I listen to Jonathan Little and "the poker guys" to and from work every day.
