Situation: 6-handed home tournament between a group of mates. I am pretty hopeless but four of the others are probably worse. The only player better than me (less bad) is the big blind, who is generally aggressive and capable of bluffing with absolutely nothing. Everyone had between 3000 and 8000 chips, I was second in chips at the time. £10 buyin, with a few rebuys winner takes £60 and runner-up £30.
Blinds: 200/400
UTG and UTG+1 fold
CO (4000) limps
Button/Hero (7500) raises to 1300 with JJ (can't remember suits, but not important)
SB folds
BB (6000) calls
Limper calls
Flop: QTx rainbow
Action: BB leads out for 2500. CO folds.
Showing my inexperience here but I got hopelessly tangled up. My gut instinct was that he was doing this with some sort of draw, but I block KJ and J9. The CO is a calling station and the BB knows this, so I'm not sure he would bluff into two opponents on the flop with absolutely nothing but I wouldn't rule it out. I felt that if I called I would have to fold to a shove on the turn, and that if I shoved myself I was basically turning my hand into a bluff...so I folded and spent the rest of the night drinking more and more Japanese whisky and wondering what I should have done. So today my two tasks for the day are (1) fight the hangover and (2) get some feedback from 2+2. What should I have done here?
