Hi all, I was wondering what your guys' general opinion is of STT's on ACR. I play buyins ranging from $11-$50, and they seem rather beatable compared to the cash games and HUSNG's which are all gross on there.

I've played much bigger live and online in the past (10/20nl, ~$1500 mtt's) but am currently busto. Got $550 on ACR and am looking for the best ways to invest it. MTT's are my bread and butter but not many good ones run during the week so I'm trying to get back into STT's where it all started for me years ago.

Also, what is the best software for working on ICM in STT's? ICM has always been a weak spot for me as I have poor study habits but am looking to improve this part of my game.

Lastly, are there any evolving strategies over the last 5-10 years? New ways to gain an edge in these things?

Sorry if these questions are vague

STT's are always fine with me as steady source of profitable action... However the biggest issue I find with ACR is getting enough volume in. I'm lucky if I can get two 6-max htsngs going at the same time. I supplement slightly by firing up some HU at the same time and might even throw some 6-max cash in there. I don't like doing this either I like to dedicate my session solely to one format.

I think ignition would be a getter choice for stt's you can get 4 tables going easily and they have enough action at the $50 and $100 levels to manage. ACR not so much. Just keep that in mind...

If you are dead set on playing on ACR... go the MTT route. You are rolled for $5 buy in mtt's and below. I wouldn't play anything higher until you reach the 1k mark and then I would consider mixing in some $10 buy-in with $5 buyins... I know you're probably not thrilled about playing anything $5 and below but if you want to properly ascend the poker hill without busting your roll this is simply what you gotta do. Or you can grind $5 and $10 STT's at low volume if that's the route you want to go. You might get an average of 5-6 table in an hour if your lucky as opposed to 16 somewhere else. But its a safe route and STT are very easy to beat with minimal study and strat.

As far as software is concerned, ICMizer is the way to go as far as studying the icm of push fold ranges. It is easy to use and learn. I would take a look at it on youtube and get an idea of what it can do for you. Learning proper push fold ranges is easy to learn as well and you should have a good idea of what to do in two weeks of study. After that I would use the program maybe a few times a week to go over some spots to reinforce and double check that im pushing and calling properly.

The best way to gain an edge is to study and address whatever character defects you may have. I'm guilty of busting a few sizable online rolls in my lifetime. S*** hurts man.

Let me know if you have any questions. Hope this helped. GL and study hard.

From $20 and above the tables are pro reg fests and your facing almost entirely the best sng players in the word not on Stars. From your questions it doesn't sound like your one of the best in the world. You will get annihilated at mid stakes.
