Hi STTF,

I have been doing some very (very) modest BR building playing some microstakes STTs of late. This is a format I have never really dabbled in. As it seems a pretty simple but high variance format I imagine the margins higher up are pretty damn small but the micros are still very soft and I have been able to win at a fair clip over a small sample size. Thankfully the majority of micro players are almost entirely clueless, take no bubble considerations and fold way too much because I am winning despite not really knowing what I am doing or comprehending how I should go about studying this format. I would like to improve and learn how to study this game and progress from trout to a mirrorcarp or maybe even a catfish and so I turn to you.

A humble beginning with some run good -

Chips won -

(can't post images yet - 'You may not post attachments.' Perhaps due to post count?)

So I will be playing 6max hypers moving forward.
I am just starting to do some independent research but if I could get any help with any of the following questions I'd be a very grateful noob.

- my C won is above EV but my Chips Won is below EV. How might this be interpreted as I would have expected the two to correlate?
- Is there any 'must use' software about for the modern STT player?
- Is there an ICM programme generally considered to be better than it's competitors?
- Must read/watch coaching materials?
(I bought the Moshman book because it was almost free on Amazon but I expect a lot of the information to be dated now. Still, I will give that a read.)
- STTF study group/s?
- Any reputable coaches known to the STTF community here on 2+2?
- Non-obvious but valuable HUD stats?
(Currently not using a HUD but have PT4.)
- Valuable PT4 reports to run once I have a larger sample?
***
- Any 6max hyper crusher (or even enthusiast) willing to PM me their email/skype and mentor me to STT glory?
- What questions would you be asking if you were starting out with STTs knowing what you know now?
(haha, opening myself up to a little trolling here but whatevs)

I am not just lazy and I will be trying to find answers to these questions myself. That said, I do think one of my leaks in the past has been a lack of community involvement so I am posting my noob Qs to you. Thanks in advance to anyone that takes the time to respond.

Thanks,
MDI

Hi,
I´m a SnG player too but also just a fish on a heater . Your sample size is still a bit small and I can´t answer all of your questions but what I would recommend you is "ICMizer"; a very good software to analyze your hands, your ranges and to practice push or fold.

Your crushing it man just keep studying, I use the ICMizer Primrose6789 is talking about its awesome! To learn I found I play some games, study them through the software then play some more. I played a stretch of 150 games break even at the $1.5 because I started playing to nitty. Don't look at expected chips won its biased 100%, I am saying this based on what iv'e found on other threads and going over my ICM decisions. May see me at the tables as Take99AllDay I just started this week Iv'e only put in 300 games. Tried the 9-max format and based on your results to I'm staying away from them, I'm running bad in them but I feel like the ROI is better in the 6-max based on the bubble pressure and people folding way to much! My ITM is only 38% and ROI 11.5% based on my last 150 STT's not stealing enough. I plan to try moving up after 1000games if I'm happy with my results. Happy to go over hands to
