Edge in 6-max STT Edge in 6-max STT

After a long break (for school) I'm dipping my feet back in the STT pool again. Looking to play and study to get back into things, and I have what is a pretty basic question:

What "edge" (Thin +EV shoves/calls that you won't make based on "future +EV spots") do people use these days when doing their ICM push/fold study? Back in the "old days" there were a range of opinions on the subject and I would like to know if there has been a consensus reached over the past few years.

Happy grinding!

It would be hard to have a concensus, as the edge depends on many factors. You cant have one edge across games for obvious reasons. But you also cant have one edge in a single format.

You play vs a bunch of though regs, no edge. You play vs a bunch of donks, big edge.

I believe, to be able to give you a proper answer here, one would need to solve Tournament Poker.

Hey buddy

I think you need to consider volatility in villains call range and the quality of players left in the game. If you're shoving into a couple solid regs who reliably play close to Nash vs other regs and it's not a soft game basically take whatever pennies you can and game select better. If villain(s) have a tendency to make super neg calls and/or there are some soft spots left in the game I am happy to not pick up the quarter lying on the ground so to speak.

You knew that though, so to answer your question I don't think much has changed as far as a consensus or new concepts.
