Has the use of HUDS changed over the years? How is your HUD configuration today?

I've read through some posts here and it looks like what all we need is the default PT HUD...

Yes. I no longer use any of the default HM2 stats; I have replaced them all with more sophisticated Notecaddy stats.

Still rocking VPIP/PFR/# hands + HEMs standard popup for 9m hypers.

Should prob add CO/BTN/SB steal to it since I click the pop up for those all the time. Just got used to what I've had all these years I guess.

Edit: Any more than that and I'll feel like I've entered the matrix

I noticed a lot of people use aggression factor.
I don't quite understand this stat, could someone help?

What is it and how can we benefit from knowing this stat?

Aggression Factor = (Total Bets +Total Raises) / (Total Calls)

A guy with a very high aggression factor is rarely going to be calling a bet. You can look into it a bit more and also compare it to Aggression Frequency and decide which is best for your HuD.

It mainly can just serve as a quick indicator on someone's overall postflop tendency towards either "aggressive" or "passive" lines. I'd say someone playing somewhere between 1.5 and 3.5 is probably playing a balanced strategy and anyone going under 1.5 or over 3.5 is probably playing an exploitable one.

what games r u playing? also, unfortunately, these ranges get skewed once it gets short handed. it would be awesome if u could make these configurations for early game(full ring), mid game(short handed), end game(very short handed). I don't think poker tracker or HM has this feature

I think you use the hud filters when it gets short handed no? but I play low stakes single table sngs for now.

If my ranges arent set up properly how can I set up the pop up designer...?
I think the ranges must be correct for me look at the pop up designer or am I wrong? Even If you were to filter the Hud for later stages in the game you would need the correct ranges.

I'm using Holdem Manager and I have a couzple of questions about the best way to set it up for STT (and occasionally MTT SNG).

1) Besides the usual VPIP/PFR, what are the most useful stats to put up on the HUD? I have the following:
# of hands/VPIP/PFR
Steal/fold to steal/resteal
3B/fold to 3B/4B
CBet/fold to CBet/raise v CBet
M/# of BB

2) Is it better to configure the HUD to show everything or only situational stats based on tournament position and/or #BB left? If I show everything, the numbers might be skewed because Vs tend to be tighter early and looser late. On the other hand, situational stats tend not to give me enough hands to give me a read on the V, especially in late stages where V doesn't always make it as far.

fold to steal, steal, fold to resteal. most important stats right after vpip pfr for me.

Any reads on how VPIP might relate to certain ranges vs the same VPIP for a cash game? Are they basically the same?

I'm curious what you guys are using for your Spin&Go HUDs. I currently have just one generic HUD that I use for all tournaments and SNGs, including Spin&Gos, but I have noticed that I'm never paying attention to most of the stats in there, partly because I'm 4-tabling. I'm only ever looking at the %VPIP, %PFR, AFq, %Cbetflop, %Cbetturn and #hands played stats, while ignoring stats like 3bet% and foldto3bet%. Suggestions?

Hi I was just wondering if anyone had a download link for a good PT4 hud for 6 max hypers. If not, can anyone just tell me the stats they have on their hud for these games. Should I have different stats for different stack depths? That's what I have now for heads up hypers but I'm worried that it might fill up the screen too much in 6 max hypers.

make your own hud with stats that you understand and know what they mean and how to adjust to them. If you play some and miss some info add that stat... imo most poeple have way to many stats that they almost never look at, and its just a cluster**** for something you could have in popup and click once in 2000 hands

I just use the same 5 by 5 HUD I use for cash. Seems unnecessary but I think it's fine if you ignore the irrelevant info like 4 bet frequencies.

Btw what's an average "TAG" PFR/VPIP? I'd imagine it's gonna be much higher than 6 max cash since you're gonna be short handed or heads up quite often.

why would you use the same hud for cash and hypers? mine is very different cash to sng although I don't play hypers. for example att to steal and fold st to late position raise wouldn't be half as useful in cash. And in cash I have aggression by streets which would be overkill on hypers as to often push fold spots. etc etc

I only really look at VPIP/PFR/3 bet. Sometimes if it's a large enough sample I'll look at CO/BTN/SB steal %s. Sometimes flop stats could be useful especially vs fish who call a lot.
