After playing in cash games, MTTs and SNGs, I believe I can do best in single table tournaments, but there's a catch.
I have a sufficient bankroll for both $5 and $10 SNGs, and I thought I would play several throughout the day, maybe 5 or 6 days a week. Well, I quickly found out that if I am to succeed in this venture, I will have to see a lot of volume and play a lot of hours.
I max out at 4-tabling, which I think is enough, but what's getting to me is the number of hours I would have to do this to be successful. I'm afraid I'm going to burn out fairly quick and this will become one of the worst jobs I've had.
Do you think I can try getting into some kind of rhythm to help? What if I played for a max of 4 hours today, win or lose, and then keep that up for a few days and then add another hour to the mix. Eventually, playing for 8 hours a day.
I never appreciated the true meaning of the word grind before this!
If you 4 table for 3h each day the 30$ Hypers (~100 sngs/day) with an ROI of 3.5%, which is attainable, you could be looking at around ~3k/month, but ofc its variance heavy.
If you're looking to make an income playing micro sngs, then yea, its a lot more volume. Look to build a roll like Olivicon said before. There's no point in grinding like 5$ stakes when the skill difference to 30$ is this small.
Thanks for your input. I'm aiming for four hours a day for now and would like to add at least a couple of more hours after dinner. This is primarily for an income, but building a larger roll can't hurt.
Multi tabling 4 Tables isnt bad, it might decrease your Hourly, but your ROI is def gonna be higher and it will let you focus more on the game, which to be fair, will allow you to BankRoll Manage a lot more aggressive if you wish to take couple shots here and there
Sometimes, when you don't run very good, you can experience like 100 SNGs breakeven periods etc
So as long as you don't mind 4tabling through it all, then you're gonna be ok
