Inspired by Steve, I started to play some play money games on stars. After a few days they gave me a treasure chest which handed out a ticket to a spin and go. Obv as an old STTF hand I won the tournament giving me a $2 balance

So I put this on some 1c/2c cash game tables. Day later and I have $3.30 in my account.

Time for tournaments! **** BR management

$0.33 tournaments drive the balance up to $6.

Ah haaaa time to play big money, so I get into the $1.10 350 max turbo

Nothing is more ridiculous than the amount of pleasure I have got from a few hours at the tables.

That's awesome Peru. There is nothing more stress free than playing with free money. I'm waiting to see if my global poker journey is over. I suspect my state is being banned tomorrow but I've still yet to hear anything directly. Sigh. If any of you have experience with any other sites and liked dealing with them let me know.

Lacky, Your micro grind seems to have inspired a few of us. I started with a $10 dep on Global last year when the pandemic hit and have cranked out some nice results playing "bankroll challenge" starting at the lowest stakes cash a few hours a week. Not moving up until I have 30buyins at the next level. Currently at 100NL.

What's this about your state getting banned? Was that the pop-up I just got tonight about something something if you live in X state or Canada etc? I glanced over it. Is there some new legislation or som'n? I've heard about the couple states getting ADDED to the interstate pool, but haven't heard anything about states getting banned?

Etiquette question, and Sorry if this is the wrong place for it.
I play on a small site and a reg has been sitting hu sng's. We both mainly play cash but I've been joining his hu sng's occasionally when action is slow. Tonight he asked me not to join him anymore. I don't know him personally and don't see why I should respect his wishes, as I'm sure he wouldn't complain if he thought he had an edge. I assumed if you open sit husngs you should accept all comers but I've only ever play cash games so if this is a somewhat standard request please let me know.

Not sure about Etiquette either. However, he could always leave as soon as you join. So, unless you target him specifically and hunt him or want to opensit and there is no table open, Id consider it bad mannered on your part.

My theory is global is getting ready to add another country. Idaho has a law that sweepstakes and lotteries have to be restricted to the US and Canada. That's why we had to leave the powerball when they added Australia this year. That all I can come up with that makes any sense. But yah I'm banned now. All the other sites are shady enough I haven't worked up to pulling the trigger yet. It kinda sad to say...but I have a fair amount of PTSD from all the years of poker. That's the real reason for the $2 challenge. I didn't get panic attacks at any point. It was all free money and built very gradually. I imagine I'll work up to putting a little money on a site again and work back up but it means I'm giving up a fair amount of part time income for now. It is what it is.

If he doesn't want to play you, he doesn't get to own the lobby to wait for the fish to come and block you from getting games. He may be entitled enough to get mad at you for playing poker against him, and that is a ridiculous stance to take. If he wants to game select, he can always reg 2nd.

I have AMT in my phone , but not Lacky .

I used to have my kid chat a bit with AMT on AIM once in a while when she was 6 or 7. She's 21 now. lol.

FYI - I talked to one of the new owners on zoom for an hour. He asked what I'd think of rearranging the forum categories and I told him it wouldn't bother me.

He also said their plans for the site are to develop new and improved forum software. They think there is a market out there in tons of dying internet forums running on old software that could turn things around with more social forum software (or something like that). They bought the site because they wanted an existing user base to work with.

Also this is not a big secret so I'm free to pass it along.

I donno that software will matter. I still check in here for the people that are here. I never go on facebook/twitter/instagram etc. In fact global had a Facebook group everyone used and I went on it twice. It was super annoying, tons of pointless threads. I hunted around a while and found nothing interesting I didn't go back.

That's a pretty impressive numbers list micro. I have 2 of those, and 2 or 3 others you don't have. I likely lost some during phone changes.
