Whatever it's merits, part of the reason why fasting has tougher traction is that it's harder to sell/make money off of. Versus all the (regulated & unregulagted herbal) supplements out there.

For me it's crazy how much it makes the senses pop when doing a longer fast. As someone who lives a computer/indoor existence for longer stretches. The best finger/touch/taste/color awareness sense I can remember in a long time. Also helped get me over a couple of food aversions, and makes kale taste a lot better.

Some doctors like Jason Fung have been doing research on incorporating fasting & diet changes for diabetic/insulin resistant patients as well. All something to do your own research/trial-and-error on.

Global update, back to about $160 ($157.72, just so I don't jinks myself) from about half cash games, half sng's. The sng's and mtt's is all I really want to play, but seeing 500 cash flops each week gets me into the $5k freerollish mtt on Sundays so been doing that too. I've been tempted to just deposit and play more mtt's but have held strong so far, mostly because I know in the long run they will suck my soul

Exactly. Playing mtt's full time I would wake up every morning excited and go to bed almost every night depressed.

Don't know what to say dude, other than we have had this thread for....donno, 7 or 8 years? There is a pretty rich history to the sttf group to which you are probably unaware. There is even a book about it. If you show an interest you will probably here some interesting stories if you get us in a sharing mood.

If you aren't interested that's fine. Just know that the "bull****" threads are where the discussions took place that came up with chip modeling, icm, etc. We (as a group, not me) solved sng's, all in the open, in public discussions, in the bs type threads.

Should merit a bit of leeway to still have thread to keep up with each other. See it as a resource. Hanging out in this thread you have at least 50 years experience playing poker for a living, probably closer to 100.

The reverse "oddness" is why sometimes you see paper all over the floor in the US (when there's no trash can by the toilet). We all get used to our own systems.

In 2014 we (Obama) put nearly a 30% tariff on panels from China and somewhat less from Taiwan. The Trump tariff is 30% across the board, so it's worse, but not that much worse. It's a speed bump, but not a road block. Of course it's bad for American jobs as there are over 100 times as many jobs in sales and installation as in manufacturing. There was a threat of a floor price for imports which would have been about a 100% tariff, so it could have been worse.

I haven't watched a training video in 7 or 8 years, and then it was in cash games. Does jman (Phil Galfond) still have a site? I know fieryjustice (Jonathan Little) writes books but I think he did videos at one point (no idea if he did any on sngs though)

I miss those guys (among many I miss). The sttf gatherings (official and otherwise) were some of my best times in life.

Afaics there are hardly any books about STTs, which probably is a good thing. It's more interesting when you have to work it out for yourself.
