Wrote a long essay but got deleted. Mattias232 partypoker 9 man 5.5 $and 11$ reg, he has a 12.9% Roi over 8 k games, far above any winning reg and having played with him, he actually seemed kind of exploitable to me. Even playing with no consideration of pop tendencies, does anyone here agrees with me that this looks suspicious?

Sustainable? Might well be.
Good Idea to do that? LOL!

Probably a bot. There's loads of them on partypoker.

I don't know if the winrate is that suspicious but I don't doubt there are alot of bots. I play $5 dollar stts and while i know at high steak only a few percent ROI is considered good, there are such bad players at lower steaks i have averaged around 10% ROI over 10s of thousands of tourneys.

Some low stakes play is so bad I really don't doubt a good rec grinder like my self who doesn't go up in stakes (because it is rec) would grind out those win rates.

ALSO GTO is GTO but the exploitative play is also exploitable... meaning if you see someone doing something fishy doesn't mean he's a fish, it could mean he is exploiting someone else (example folding to a small 3 bet because the opponent never 3 bets without the stone nuts).

that roi on those stakes at regular speed is deff doable

i guess he could be a bot, but just because you are jealous of his roi doesn't mean he is one

also his play at those games should be exploitable, it will maximize win rate
...and just adjust vs the other regs, but even this is most likely not necessary since few regs there will actually exploit his tendencies

1. Deffinitely doable ROI.
2. Im out of the game, but I think we still have a few years until Bots become crushing machines.
3. Last but MOST important. If you think that unexploitable play yields the highest profit, you understood some things very wrong.

Certainly worth reporting to party if you feel there is a specific issue worth investigating regarding the account - but in general,

This is important. Worth posting specific hand examples and questions if you want to dig into this from a strategy POV, but important to remember that good/"correct" play is not necessarily unexploitable play.

This is crazy, I remember being on this forum about 6+ years ago and reading STT threads and of course I became familiar with "AMT" posting (I could be wrong but at the time your tag was "AMT Babysitting"). I think I recall him debating the unexploitable/taking every edge style against the exploitable/edge passing style. I seem to recall him having this debate in numerous threads. Maybe I'm way off and my memory actually sucks. Anyway I haven't been on these forums in ages and popped in and seen this thread so I felt obliged to post. Hope y'all are doing well. Goodluck!

So I said 6 years+, it was more like 10 years +. How time flies.

i don't think he is a bot, I play with him a lot and observe he have done a lot of misplays and blow up sometimes. But yeah hes a good player who has better icm awareness than other regs.
