Hi
I have been playing 9max sit'n go turbos but i have suffered a lot of bad beats lately and got some tilting problems.
I started thinking about playing 6max turbo sit'n gos.
What's the difference between 6max turbo and 9max turbo? Where are less amount of bad beat?

The beats will happen no matter what regardless of the game/stakes you play. Continue to focus on learning how to exploit your opponents and their hand ranges and work towards getting the money in good. As you put in more volume and approach the long-term you will see your results match the expected EV of your cumulative actions.

I haven't played any 6-max SnGs yet but I imagine that the ICM pressure presents itself quicker given how frequently you are going through the blinds. Just from playing 6-max cash in the past it may mean that our hand ranges need to be wider to open as well since we will want to win the blinds/contest the pot more often to reduce the ICM pressure.

Would love to hear what other more experienced players have to say about the differences in the games.

Completely agree...

Where would be a good place to learn simple concepts about the ICM in 6 handed SNGs?

There are more bad beats in 9man. That is if you play both formats properly.

Reason being, in 6max you play wider ranges, hence you are less of a favorite, hence you have less bad beats.

To be completely blunt, I recommend that you either resolve your issues with tilt, or play neither 6 max or 9 max, and find a new hobby. You won't win at any format of poker if you tilt easily.

To answer your question, I should imagine that hand ranges increase variance a little for 6 max vs 9 max, but I can't really back that up as I only play 9 max.
