6 Handed facing shove on the turn??? 6 Handed facing shove on the turn???

I am not experienced with playing many final tables. I need help assessing what would be the right play here. I believe that the CO is trying to steal here, but I have not played enough with them to have a great read. Not sure if I should fold or call at this point. Any advice would be deeply appreciated. Thanks!!!

Others please chime in but if CO is trying to steal here then their we can give them a wider PF range. The CB seems pretty standard with lots of ranges for the CO on this board but on the turn could we not Ch-R a lot of our range that isn't winning at showdown if we were to get there by checking? But at the same time... It seems like a lot of your range you are checking behind on the turn to get to showdown. Hmmm.... I'll have to think more on this one.

I'm a little confused by a couple of things here:

You say this was the final table but it's in the STT forum.

Also was it a 6 max MTT tourney from the start or full ring that is now down to the final 6?

Also the buy-in amount has bearing.

Such a bizarre line by the Villain. I have some thoughts, but would like more background before commenting.

To me it looks like regardless of what format this is, with hero only having 22bb here, he should be shoving 99 pre-flop for quite a few reasons.

We can perceive the cut off to have a fairly wide range, certainly one that it is +ev to shove against.

The effective stack is too short to be set mining.

Your hand is too strong not to be committing with.

Shoving prevents the small blind or big blind entering the pot.

You avoid difficult post flop scenarios.

If you don't see it like me and have a strong reason for wanting to go to the flop which I have not considered then the flop play is fine but raising in position when he is unlikely to have hit is an option.

On the turn when he check raises you you have to call because 1/ you have commited around half your stack and your equity is going to be relatively good vs his range.

He could have overpairs (remember you beat 88), he could have A7s A7o, K7s K7o, Q7s, J7, T7, 97, 87, 56, 67, bluff over cards which are potentially suited for him to win with a backdoor flush draw, complete air.

Put these hands into pokerstove and you're equity in the hand will be relatively high.

NB. I agree with rapid_fire; when asking for advice in the future it would be helpful for those assisting you if you post the exact format of the tournament (because ICM might be a factor), the buy in, any stats you have or reads you have on the villain. The quality of response is going to be better.

Shoving pre. As played, call. Strength of our hand is well disguised at this point.
