Payouts 66.7% / 33.3%
25 euro SNG, blinds 80/160
BTN: 4102
SB: 1600
BB (hero): 4298

Hero dealt AK

Preflop (240)
BTN raises to 4102, 1 fold, Hero ???

HRC says this is a call for hero if we make this an all-in or fold, but how do we range villains who do this?

If this is a random with no reads, it’s a very clear fold. There’s maybe 2 players in that player pool I’d consider a call, and even then, we need to consider the sb, if sb is bad which he probably is, we should fold.

So you’ve not said whether villain also has an openraise range in this spot, he prob does (which makes this spot an even easier fold), in which case at a guess he’s shoving hands such as medium pairs and good aces; strong hands that he doesn’t know what to do with if he opens and you shove. There’s no pressure on sb to be really tight in this spot so he can’t just be shoving garbage and expect to get folds from sb.

It's difficult, you can let HRC plot a graph for AKo against his range and see where it breaks even and how steep it goes before and afterwards.
This includes the mistake of assuming linear ranges (which are obv not part of a gto "jam vs other action" solution), but should be a somewhat decent approximation.
Then probably just minimize the potential error if the ev is not giantly different from zero.
Or short: If i suppose btn understands what a reasonable openjam range should look like and SB is a reg, I call, if not, probably better fold.

99+ Fold everything else. (Assuming an ATC jam)

Tighten pairs depending on his range. Never fold QQ unless you have a very specific read.

AK+, AQs and 88 might be ok if you assume that hes jamming ATC and you can win the HU with huge chip advantage almost every time.

Use an icm calculator.

If the players are super weak I'd avoid marginal +ev spots and find a better one especially when you're this deep in a sng.

Oh one last thing, he may have a clamped range for jamming here, adjust icm calculator accordingly. Very doubtful he jams AA but some fish will jam TT-KK AK etc because they have a post flop fear.

^ How do you get that range? With basic ICM against ATC HRC says call 8.3%, 66+ ATs+ AJo+ KQs

Results:
Spoiler:
Hero calls, villain shows A3o and gets there.
