Without roots, history, family, connections I wouldn't dream of taking Ohio. If the choice were Indiana or spin the wheel I don't give it a moments thought.

I've spent a decent amount of time in the USA, and it's a great country with a lot to offer -- even in the crap states.

Worst states have to be Nebraska, Kansas, and South Dakota. I'd venture a guess and say that many of those surrounding states are next on the list -- Oklahoma, Missouri, and Arkansas. Though I've spent less than an hour in them combined.

I'm basing this off of the idea of "can this state offer me anything at all?" Maybe there are cool cities in Nebraska, I've heard Omaha is actually kind of cool.

AL and Mississippi seem awful but at least they're ****ing coastal. Anything with a coast gets a pass imo. AL is also starting to prosper, some serious car manufacturing done in that state.

TBH I think if you look at any state by its 80% they almost all look bad.

Actually add Idaho to that list too. I've never met a person that is from or has gone to Idaho for any reason. It might not even actually exist.

I got Arkansas. Isn't their official state slogan "At least we aren't Mississippi?" Or am I confusing it with someplace else?

I would choose Ohio because I know my luck is pretty consistently in the bottom 3rd deviation, which is once again proven by this springhole website and the fact I was born in Ohio.

Edit: After cursory research, I guess I'd go with Cheyenne. It's only an hour and a half from Denver, which is at least something.

Nope, that’s exactly Arkansas. We frequently travel South through Missouri -> Arkansas -> Mississippi -> Alabama and there’s nothing good between Kansas City and Georgia or the coast but Arkansas at least has that “nature” thing going while Mississippi is what the president calls ****hole.

I spun the wheel and got Wisconsin. Madison is a great city so I should have stopped there. Instead I tried again and got Nebraska and then Kentucky..

Since most states have at least a couple really cool places, maybe the stipulation should be “random city”? That would put states like Louisiana and Texas pretty far up the list.

I've visited every state except The Dakotas, Oregon, and Montana. There's zero difference in quality of life between Ohio and about 30 other states that make up the middle of the country.

Cleveland and Columbus are decent enough that I'd pick Ohio to avoid the risk of drawing some barren ****hole like Wyoming or South Dakota or something.

The rust belt depresses me, and most other states therein and least have portions that aren't. I assume Ohio does too, but evey place I've ever stopped there has been some previously "thriving" manufacturing town that built cheap when it was booming and is just quietly going to seed now.

If I had to live in Alabama again, I'd probably go for Huntsville. It's a pretty cool town. Redneck Riviera would be the next choice, I guess. Not fond of the heat and humidity, the still obvious race issues (if not outright racism), etc. in Alabama.

Never been to Ohio but I'd spin. Median/indifferent state...I'll say Minnesota.

All you really need to fade is the Dakotas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Iowa. Everywhere else is equal to or better than Ohio.

Since I spun and got Wyoming, I looked into it, Cheyenne is only a 90 minute drive from Denver, so I'd just spend all my leisure time there, if I'm allowed (?)

I got Nevada. Not in my top 10 states, but worlds better than Ohio.

Cheyenne is a craphole, but it's even closer to Ft. Collins, which is an awesome college town, than Denver. Only a 45 minute drive.

Ohio is like the 43rd best state if I'm being generous. Of course I'd spin the wheel.
