It doesn't stack up well against even your average rust belt city. The food scene sucks. It has one professional sports team and two "professional" sports teams. It is dreary 6 months out of the year and also dreary the other 6 months of the year. The economy nearly doesn't exist there.

On the upside it has really cheap housing and it is a step up from Youngstown.

So you haven't been to Northwest Arkansas, got it. NWA = Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, Bentonville metro area. In other words, Washington and Benton counties. Ft. Smith is in Sebastian county and is a terrible place.

I suspect there would be a lot more overlap, on average, than not. Seems no one got too excited about the Dakotas, Missouri, Okahama, Nebraska, Mississippi, Massachusetts, Idaho, Arkansas, Kansas, Alaska... no one is begging for Florida and Georgia seems controversial.

Honestly, I can't even think of 10 states I'd be okay with for life, but I'll try:

California

Texas

Louisiana

Washington

New York

Colorado

.... and that's pretty much it.

San Diego got that damn expensive? That's a lot of of money to live near the zoo and Lego Land. Looking it up, it appears San Diego has a higher median salary than Los Angeles.
