Y, USC and UCLA to the Big 10orso. CU people seem rightly worried.

I'm not sure I agree that a nationwide conference is a good thing. Seems like even more time away for the "student"-athletes.

what if they fold the entire pac 12 into the big 10? I guess that might compromise the whole idea as I understand it, to feature sexier matchups for a better TV deal

It’s horrible to lose the conference no matter what, but as usual the deck is stacked against WSU, who has battled valiantly for years against the built-in advantages of the other teams and is now probably going to be relegated to irrelevance for the crime of playing outside a major media market.

Sympathies to our land-grant brethren at Oregon State also.

Wazzu and Beaver folks will always be welcome around these parts
**** the huskies, i'm sure we can all agree upon that

I go back and forth on liking Mike Leach, but it would have been fun if he could have made something work it the Pac. Beaver still has baseball, and wazzu will always have their flags.

Yes, **** them harder than anything. I hate the Ducks too, but they’ve at least earned a spot with their play. UW is just going to lean on being in a big city and ride those coattails while being an underachieving mess.

Never been, but UW has a top tier stadium. Definitely tops anywhere west of Austin. j/k Texas isn't that great and if you aren't in a box during September games you will for real die.

My wife's son goes to almost all UCLA football games - home and away. Roadtrips just got longer.

Leach's new school has quite the regional following for its cheese. I've never tried it or Cougar Gold. Just saying ...

Coincidence?

i wasn't aware MSU had cheese, but not surprising for the same reason WSU has theirs.

30oz. can cougar gold $27 https://cougarcheese.wsu.edu/Directi...php?itemid=100

32oz. block MSU cheddar $20 https://www.msucheese.com/product/cheddar/

i can vouch for cougar gold. solid cheddar aged long enough to make the back of your mouth tingle

Not a fan of the fatties.

Quote:
“We pound on Kansas State,” Leach said immediately after the game, “so A&M looks at the film all week. The (Aggies) strut around and laugh – you know, ho-ho-ho, ha-ha-ha, and they listen to their fat li’l’ ol’ girlfriend, and pretty soon, what happens in Manhattan happens.

“Well, the first thing we do is we go in our meeting and we talk about we’re going to respect everyone; we’re going to fear no one. We’re not going to compare scores and we’re not going to listen to our fat little girlfriends.”

You would think, with some time to reflect, Leach would be done with that particular public tack. You would be wrong.

When given the opportunity to take the edge off his weekend remarks, Leach instead piled on like Oprah at an all-you-can buffet.

“[The coaches failed to make] our points more compelling than their fat little girlfriends. Now their fat little girlfriends have some obvious advantages. For one thing, their fat little girlfriends are telling them what they want to hear, which is ‘how great you are’ and ‘how easy its going to be’ and we had a bunch of people who wanted to win the football game but nobody wanted to play the football game.
Quote:
“That defies every level of work ethic that exists with regard to football. As coaches, we have to solve our failure on reaching them and the players have to listen. I am willing to go to fairly amazing lengths to make that happen. I don’t know if I will be successful this week or not but I am going to try and there will be some people inconvenienced and if it happens to be their fat little girlfriends too bad.”
