Bgp,

I guess it could apply if you just ramp up the intensity. Thremp is smarter than Dominic, more arrogant, thinks he's way way smarter, and is a worse poster by an enormous margin. I never interact with him directly since he has ~zero redeemable qualities as a poster (unlike Dominic).

I think his overall disapproval rate isn't that high because the H&F guys who are similar but watered down versions of Thremp like having him around. Also El D and anklebreaker I guess.

If polling outside of H&F, it still wouldn't be 99% because a lot of people would have no opinion probably.

ok, guys, I got ahold of internet support. Supposedly, my plan allows up to 6 Mbps for download speed, still pretty slow eh? It has been topping out at high 2's.

I thought I was paying $45 a month for this service but for some reason, this month's bill says $53, I hope it reverts back, I'm not sure what's going on there. On my bill it says term 5/21/17 - 5/20/18 $9.99, thats where the extra is coming from and I have no idea wtf I am being charged "term."(happy anniversary, we charge you $10???)

anyway, what are u guys paying for your internet service and what speed are you getting for that price?

Where do you live? That is not very good. Do you not have other options?

I pay $60 for 100/10. I could get up to gigabit but I don’t need that and is pricey.

Where do you live? Who’s your service provider? Are you limited in what services you can get? Like is cable or fiber not available in your area? Do you live in a pretty rural area?

Like I think I pay for 150/7.5 but get 75/7.5 which is enough for what I need (I hardly upload anything) with Comcast (and can get faster) but I can get Verizon giga in my area but have no need for it. I think it’s around 1000/1000.

I don't think Dom thinks he's really smart.

I pay 20€ for 30/5. That is also about what I get.

I like Dom. I'm not sure I've ever read a Thremp post and have no opinion there.

this is pretty terrible unless you live in the woods somewhere. I pay ~$70 for 100/100 and get about 120 both ways

Yeah, given a choice between Dom or Fabian we'd definitely have one less piano player around.

A lot has happened while I was away. So did Dom become a bible-thumper, or did the bible-thumper start doing porn. Or do they just have very different Sundays?
05-21-2018 , 12:27 PM
None of those.

That's not good. Who is your service provider? I pay $40/mo for 24 Mbps from Uverse, but there may be a discount because it's bundled with TV.

You said you're connected via ethernet. Are you connected directly to your router? Are there other devices on your network?

It was a whirlwind courtship. Even porn kingpins can be hopeless romantics! Also I remember the photos and she was smokin' milfy hot.

I wouldn't want Fabian gone either. It would be a lose-lose survivor.

thanks everyone for feedback

live in midwest OH, it's rural but not off the grid, Frontier Communications is the provider. I guess I am DSL because that is the light on the router that blinks, it's basic broadband service. I will be looking into some new options.

As for setup, I go into a router provided by Frontier. Again, it is most likely DSL because the wall jack is not a cable one. It's one where the wire "clicks" in, sometimes you can hear the "click." (lmao at me describing this) A couple months back, devices were slowing down so I thought maybe it was the router. So, I disabled the Frontier router wireless capabilities and bought a TP-Link Router. So, I essentially have two routers hooked up. I also have a TP-link wireless extender downstairs. Without looking, I would guess it is off, it usually is because we are not down there often. Aside from that, two cell phones are usually connected to WiFi, also one TV, one Apple TV box, Alexa, an Ipad, and an Amazon Fire Tablet. Often times though, the tablet and the Ipad are off and sometimes Alexa is unplugged.

As for setup, the Frontier router would probably be fine for being used for wireless. I was probably wrong to blame it, the problem then was most likely the same one as now, slow speeds. I assume my TPLink is a better router though. It has three antennas and when I bought a router I went for efficiency. The Frontier one seems more basic. But, I probably can't bypass the Frontier router totally can I? Is it more ideal to only have one router connected?

DSL is the issue.

cliffs on Thremp non-H&F history?

I only remember he outed that one Business & Finance mod as a scammer circa ~2008 (search "Minimax Consulting" for more info). It was pretty fast IIRC; after Thremp outed him, that guy never posted again on 2+2.

Thremp is a poster that can be insightful, but also terribly antagonistic. lolrep level of nasty.
05-21-2018 , 01:55 PM
Howard should invite him out to dinner and report back.
05-21-2018 , 02:48 PM
LKJ,

I have been to dinner with both Howard and Thremp!

Yeah, DSL sucks and Frontier is not good (I have heard), so it is probably not necessary to look any deeper.

Don't get me started on M05 (thremp). It was hilarious when he got scared that I will physically kick his butt and run for protection to Monte instead of blaming my poor English skills. I said something along the lines that I will let him "save the face" instead of "save face".

edit: HT and thremp are in so many characteristics antipodes.
