I think the only time I use a straw is if I get McDonald's. I don't drink soft drink all that often though, but I couldn't imagine actually using a straw with a glass of anything.

I dislike using anything plastic for eating or drinking, but I do enjoy the rare treat of finding a paper straw, as I did last night. It came with a Ramos gin fizz at Congress Street Up in Savannah, GA. The first Ramos gin fizz I've ever had outside of New Orleans, and also the best. Highly recommended.

A proper gin fizz is one raw egg and one shot of gin. It's what Sly was actually drinking in Rocky.

A Ramos gin fizz is some weak sauce where you just use beaten whites, I think.

Dbz, bgp: straws of course acceptable for boba tea or anything where you need to get through a plastic cover.

Lfs: hopefully he has a journal or something with final title ideas for the movie.

Ca3: egg white (and less commonly, Whole egg) cocktails are excellent.

I fight with my GF all the time at restaurants because if the waiter puts down a straw I'll use it, and she thinks that if I dont use it the waiter will pick it back up after we leave (lol), so I'm basically killing the planet.

I have an irrational fear of getting mouth herpes from a restaurant glass so I actually like the straw.
