My "taste" would include the Yanks Beefheart, Hendrix and the Stooges but also the Germans CAN, Canucko Neil Young and Brits Eno and Radiohead (and many others).

Anyway, the Stones 68-72 are clearly the best rock band ever. I really think anyone disagreeing with this is not very musical. (CAN, Eno and post-OKC Radiohead aren't really rock bands per se).

Ya I feel ya on that. They are one of those bands that no matter what I've heard from them I've always liked it, although I never heard their country stuff (maybe it was just Mic doing country) and I'm sure I havn't heard all of their music. The only band that comes to mind like that is AC/DC. Most bands have plenty of meh songs whereas these 2 bands just stir something up in me.

I could entertain the argument for the Peppers but Greenday, their good but just not that good imo. As much as I love Peppers they still have a lot of crap in their library. I have 1 cd by them that is almost like an album full of throwaway songs tho I think it's an early one.

Sierra’s totally fine, a good beer that I’m always happy to drink.

My wife's brother drinks Sierra Nevada Pale Ale exclusively. Her other brother won't drink anything other than Coors Light.

The Peppers w/o John Frusciante isn't all that good. He quit, came back, and quit again, plus Anthony Kiedis lost his voice. They really sound horrible today.

I guess you could make this argument. The English bands took a small subset of the blues and designed their sound around the few albums that made it overseas.

It's like listening to Radiohead, The Cure, Gorillaz, Imogen Heap, and Dido, designing your sound around that, and saying your music is based on music from England. What about Blur, James, Tricky, Frou Frou, Unkle, Faithless...?

It's not the first thing I reach for, but it depends on how I'm feeling. I've developed a general preference for beer that is between 7% and 10%. Sierra Nevada doesn't have anything that strong.
