It's a fact Posner is a plagiarist and that he misrepresents the evidence.

It's an opinion that his take is worth listening to.

See? It's not rocket surgery.

Bugliosi commands a lot of respect among Lone Nut theorists, so it seemed appropriate that even he admits Posner did a poor job.

Case Closed also drew widespread criticism from academics involved in assassination research as well as from non-academic assassination researchers who contended that it contained factual inaccuracies.[31] [32] [33] [34] [35] For example, historian David Wrone wrote that "massive numbers of factual errors suffuse the book".[32] Vincent Bugliosi, whose own book Reclaiming History largely agrees with Posner's conclusions, accused Posner of "omissions and distortions" but also described Case Closed as "an impressive work".[36] "He is perhaps public enemy No. 1 to members of what might be called the JFK conspiracy industry," wrote journalist Paul Galloway.[37]
Amusing that you repeatedly post things that contradict your claims.

Amusing you think admitting Posner's book features 'omissions and distortions' is a high recommendation.

Sounds like there is a conspiracy to keep the truth covered up from the American people whether Case Closed is a good book. Open your eyes, sheeple!

I'm not a conspiracy theorist and I haven't even watched the whole movie, but here's a movie/documentary made by that hot chick on NCIS, Citizen Lane:

In the first 60s of that video Lane claims:

"5 shots." This did not happen. There were not 5 shots.

Motorcycle cop, "nearly knocked off his motorcycle" by the shot that killed Kennedy. Nonsense.

Lane was still trying to defend LHO in a court of law, trying to put reasonable doubt in the jury's mind to defend against conviction. He was just acting as a defense attorney. Introducing doubt is not the same as trying to find the truth of the events that day.

In the Lane video...

I love the part about the CIA assassin who has a "code of ethics... I will not kill an American in America." See about 31:20.

So awesome.

So murder -- uh...ok... I can do it. But so long as its not an American in America.

AFAIK -- JFK was an American in America.

Nevermind that the so-called assassin would then to tell the proposed victim about the job?

Why does anyone take this BS seriously at all?

Looks good - great to have a documentary about another great American.

54 years ago, today, I was in 3rd grade. All of a sudden, the TV came on. Kennedy was dead. A girl started crying. The nuns sent us home. No school on Monday. I thought, "Great, I get to watch Bonanza on Sunday night (strict TV watching time)." I was wrong. Just Kennedy crap on the tube. I was 9 years, what did I know?

My folks collected all the newspapers (EXTRA, EXTRA), LOOK and LIFE magazines specials, holy cards, 9x11 prints, and all the trinkets that were generated. My parents are gone now. I'm the only one left. Everything was passed down. I read them over the years. The advertisements were interesting.

My youngest daughter was a history major. I gave her the boxes and she in turn, donated them to one of her professors. I felt it was just clutter.

I was five days old. My mom had the same complaint. She was laid up and only Kennedy on the tube.

I love looking at old advertisements.

“Smoke Camel Cigarettes to improve your voice and skin”

Funny to think there was a time when Westerns dominated TV.

I remember not being a Kennedy fan at all. He kept dicking around with a place called Vietnam. What did I know? I was a kid.

I thought the CIA killed him because he wanted out of Vietnam.

The CIA had much more visceral reasons for hating JFK. He had reneged on providing air support for their Bay of Pigs invasion. And he fired CIA Director Dulles, Deputy Director for Plans Richard M. Bissell Jr., and Deputy Director Charles Cabell (brother of Dallas Mayor Earle Cabell). And for lots more reasons. As for being motivated by Kennedy's Vietnam policies, who knows? But we do know that five days after JFK's murder, LBJ signed a $25 billion contract with Texas firm Brown & Root (a subsidiary of Halliburton) to build the Cam Rahn Bay deep military port, and soon we were all in in Nam.

For some interesting reading, check out the brief Wiki pages on Dulles, Bissell, Cabel, and Brown & Root

Yeah, no. Eisenhower, to his eternal discredit, ordered the CIA to murder Congolese leader Patrice Lumumba. But the CIA officer in the Congo, when told to plant the tube of poisoned toothpaste in Lumumba's bathroom, simply refused because he considered it an illegal order. (On the Nuremberg and Eichmann precedents.) The CIA may have had something to do with the later murder of Lumumba by Katanga separatists, but they were mainly catspaws of Belgian business interests and the Belgian secret service. Two Belgian secret service officers were present at the scene of Lumumba's murder by the Katangans. The idea that the CIA would assassinate President Kennedy is... a bit silly, really.

There were a number of power centers whose plans would have been upset if Kennedy's policies had been allowed to bear fruit.

Domestically he seems to have rubbed Wall Street and the capitalist class the wrong way by attempting to close the tax loopholes than enriched and empowered them and bring more focus on developing the economy for the benefit of the productive classes. Of course there was the whole civil rights controversy.

It appears that JFK on the international scene would have normalized relations with USSR and Cuba, withdrawn from Vietnam, and treated newly emerging former colonies with respect.
