Bro..................I know how small my wife is and that she is a female. I know how much 27 weighs and that he is a man. In response to him calling out my wife for being dumb, I called him out for being weak like tiny woman as a diss. If you really think that I believe my tiny, tiny wife is objectively stronger than a man I know to be twice her size, okay. You got me. Thanks for setting me straight.

Now, when it comes to actual fitness measures, which was subsequently brought up by 27 with the 20 LEGITS comment (and btw 27, I understood it was in jest) ...she is stronger than him the same way that spiderwebs are stronger than steel cables that hold up the golden gate bridge, or the strongest man pound for pound is a thing.

I hope all this helps.

After reading this thread, and discussing it with the wife, we have determined that CPS needs to be called to protect the children from the owners of the minivan. Dear god, what hell it must be to live in that house!

If only you lived in the Netherlands, this would never be a problem.

No way 27 is stronger than Mrs Truant. He can't even keep Preki contained, let alone ban him. He just laughs in his face.

This reminds me of that mind-bending Twilight-Zone-ish Liberty Mutual commercial. The one that seems completely different in the short and long versions:

*Short Version: "Your insurance rates go up because of a scratch so small you could have fixed it with a pen. How about using that pen to change insurance companies?"

*Long Version: "You make a right turn and barely nick an oncoming car going the opposite direction. Everyone's OK. Your insurance rates go up because of a scratch so small you could have fixed it with a pen. How about using that pen to change insurance companies?"

You got that? Because usually when *I* come a few inches from killing people by being so bad at driving my turn pulls me across the street into oncoming traffic (never and never close and I couldn't imagine how this could even be possible short of a seizure or heart attack), I might take a few moments for a little self-reflection. I mean imagine being the other car driving along and some brain-dead mouth breather reaches out across the line to joust, and then when you look at the spot she's all, "You call that a scratch? What a hassle!"

And yet the short version seems perfectly reasonable...until you've seen the long version.

Not that I think your wife really needs to self-reflect here or is a clear danger to society like that.

This is not the only incident in the body of evidence. One time she was making turkey burgers and was out of breadcrumbs so she substituted pankcake mix.

If I was person who closed garage I would offer to pay the deductible. If I was owner of van id say not to worry about it. If its actually something that needed to be fixed I would split the deductible with them.

Im also open to arguments that its the owners fault for leaving it open in a position to get hit by the closing garage door.
Alobar nails it.

EDIT: Oh I just saw the scratch. **** these bitches. Tell them to sue you if they want you to fix it. You'd barely notice that from a few feet away. That and it's a year and a half old already. Your wife needs to stop being friends with people because your children happen to like another person's children because they have the same favorite color.

Holliday,

I thought the exact same when seeing that commercial. "I get in a little fender bender and my insurance rates go up? Maybe it's time to find another insurance company..."

Or maybe it's time to not suck at driving and have some accountability you dumbass.

No estimate yet. In a very small way, I am hoping that they come at me with a $2k bill for the entertainment factor of this thread. Here are some clarifications and newer details to speculate about re the couple.

First, these are not friends of ours. My wife is friendly with everyone, but has not spent time with these folks previously. They are friends with one of her actual friends, though I am not sure how close.

This was a school trip, y'all. Not sure what it was like when you went to school, but the way it worked for me in the olden days is the way it still works now. The notice goes to parents of the date and cost. Chaperones and drivers are requested so they can arrive as a group. Not all kids have parents who are available to go, so lol at soccermom logic on carpooling being a factor. The non-driving parents, including chaperones, meet with the driving chaperones. They are not best pals by default.

Now, some more details obtained from wifey pillow-talk that I present so they can be blown up and assigned too much significance:

When the door closed it stopped on the gate with the gate still open. The van lady kind of wigged out immediately and went over and pulled on the gate jamming it even more, and my wife then hit the button again to reverse it. The van lady then looked at the scratches with a lot of distress--apparently very worried about her husband's reaction and kept saying she thought she should not him about it and hoping he didn't notice, her big question being would he or wouldn't he.

What a life.

They (the people that own the vehicle) would file a comprehensive claim with their insurance company. Comprehensive claims do not get surcharged with most carriers (especially when they are below 1000) there is no at fault or not at fault with a comprehensive claim either.

If they wanted to be dicks they could technically sue you for their deductible or sue you for the damages and that is kind of up to the Judge who he determines was negligent here.

Id just offer to split the deductible with them. That would be the fair thing to do and would save them lots of trouble.

Where I come from "school trip" means the school faculty would be organizing the transportation (either a bus or parents driving their cars) and everyone would meet up at the school.

There are like 10 kids at this preschool.
