pics or gtfo

edit: lol, looks like a mosquito gently scraped a fingernail on it. I would suggest telling the van owner to **** off and never interacting with her ever again.

If personal clumsy insurance existed, my wife would have driven rates through the roof. Is there such a thing as personal hard-on-possessions insurance? I'd like to get her in on the ground floor.

The age of the van would change the picture for me--especially if the scratches are very superficial. Yeah, they are gonna take it to a body shop that wants to pull the tailgate off to sand and re-paint the entire thing and possibly replace perfectly acceptable hardware. ugh!

Enjoy!

Well the husband already decided they are taking it into a shop. The die is cast. I’ll update with the lol estimate.

I mean I gotta assume that it will cost between two and four shares of an abortion. Should I demand to only pay if I get to go to the shop?

I wouldn’t even be arsed to get a pen for it if it was mine.

nice humblebrag that you can fire off a grand for no reason. I would tell them to lawyer up bc accidents happen and I aint ponying up a grand for a minor scratch.

This is not a reasonable man you're dealing with.

One option is to pay for the repairs, then at the next opportunity, scratch the **** out of the van intentionally (without them knowing it was you obv). An immature solution perhaps, but it might satisfy the suburban soccer parent upper middle class bloodlust raging inside you.

tell them to **** off

they call that a scratch?
anyone who would even waste their time getting that fixed on a minivan has problems.

lol those scratches. the body shop should laugh them out of the building.

And since this is OOT: If I "had" to pay for that to be painted or replaced, I'd key their ****ing minivan next week. I hate minivans and their drivers, so I might do it anyway.

slow pony on that last part

It’s a ****ing van of people that have kids. I don’t understand the type of person that gives a **** about this.

OP I was with you until you posted pictures. It’s actually so small that paying to get it fixed would probably piss me off too much. It might even push me to tell the guy he has to go through his insurance and you’ll pay the deductible after he takes it to three separate places of your choosing.

Also, I assume you’re done doing anything with this guy and his family. Doesn’t seem like it would ever be worth it.

Falls under normal wear and tear
Husband should be ashamed to ask for that to be fixed

I would snap pay whatever he asks for because the chance of this dude being a psychopath is off the charts.

Posts 37 through 43 are correct, and lol at ever associating with these people again. As an aside, this shit is one of the prima facie reasons the wifeacore and I decided to live downtown as opposed to moving up to one of the suburban douche enclaves up north.

C'mon, man. What sort of self-respecting psychopath would allow his wife to buy a minivan? Sumbitch is probably a 3rd-rate accountant or a clerk at Best Buy.

Johnny don't you have a "friend who owns a body shop"?
And a place that sells touch up pens in your city?
