What's the deal with sandwiches? What's the deal with sandwiches?

nit,
Ceviche tostadas are the best tostadas!
Lookin good. I agree that ceviche is better without the clamato, although I do sometimes add it depending on who is going to be eating it.

A delicious grilled bratwurst sandwich, just the way God intended:

Bighurt,
I upgraded the plate just for you. Haven't gone full washable yet, but I hope to get there soon!
Solid enhanced paper plate you got there.

Next step would be a sturdy plastic plate for a messy meal!

Word! Some ceviche sitting on top of a nice thick crispy tostada tortilla soaking up that flavor.

Lol at Txdome he seems to have the worst takes on everything.

So you're saying trying to shovel a tostada in your mouth is better than just having them cut the tortilla into chips before frying it, and then put the fish or whatever in a bowl?

Ceviche with chips>>>>>>>tostada.

Hard agree.

This is why. It's such an inconvenient way to eat these ingredients, especially when there are so many other options available.

So if you want something like crema avocado spread with your ceviche, you going to dip every chip in the sauce, then dip again into the bowl of ceviche? And then squirt hot sauce on each chip?

No, you make a tostada and spread that **** on, then pile the ceviche on top, and drizzle with your hot sauce.
It's also more efficient because you get like 6-8 consecutive bites out of each tostada without wasting time dipping 6-8 chips.

Yes, that sounds preferable to biting into a giant chip that cracks unpredictably underneath precariously balanced ingredients.

I'm not trying to argue, I'm just explaining why I don't like tostadas.

You're obviously free to enjoy them as much as you want.

Why not just put it all in a *********** tortilla?

I'll eat tostadas, obv, but think they're entirely unnecessary and don't order them.

To clarify, im advocating for tostadas specifically with ceviche.

Not really a fan of eating cold meat in a tortilla fwiw, although I have done it on plenty of occasions

I'd spoon the ceviche onto the dipped chip, and then add hot sauce probably too.

Thinking about ceviche nachos with avocado and hot sauce makes me miss fish a little bit.

I wonder if I could get a similar effect with hearts of palm or something similar.

If any of you are ever in Pattaya, Thailand, do yourself a favour and head to Taco Taco. Amazing texmex restaurant down a non-descript side street that does awesome fresh tacos and equally awesome frozen margaritas.

I'm not sure I could have a bratwurst in anything other than a hotdog bun. In a grilled flour tortilla may very well be an upgrade, but i'd be too scared and ultimately too annoyed with myself if I tried it and ruined a perfectly good bratwurst experience as a result.

Growing up my parents always served smoked sausage-y type stuff in flour tortillas with spicy mustard.

It was amazing. The sausage to bread ratio was elite.

A bratwurst with spicy mustard in a flour tortilla sounds amazing right about now.

And Yes I know it’s breakfast time. What? You wanna fight about it?

I just reheated 2 leftover brats for lunch and now I'm mad I didn't put one in a tortilla.

Went spicy brown on one and yellow mustard/ketchup on the other. I know that's going to trigger some of you.

Spicy brown, ffs. Consider me triggered! Actually not sure what is worse, the random application of poorly qualified brown sauce or the casual application of the "reheated" brats. I'm going home to sleep this off. Brutal.
