Some type of Panera branded baguette I bought at the grocery store. The type that you you warm up in the oven for 5-7 minutes.

gotta have a hard crusted baguette to hold up to copious amounts of oil/vinegar/or dipping in broth.
when spouse and i make the pho-french dips we use the crustiest bread we can find.

That take-and-bake bread from the grocery is solid. One of those rolls and a bottle of olive oil, **** me up and call it a night.

Are you guys familiar with Bounded By Buns? Takes on sandwiches of all forms, lots of focus on the bread elements, but overall more sandwich than baking blog.
