Tabasco DOES have a flavor. It tastes like itself: vinegary and spicy hot. It's very good on some things. It's not a super complex flavor, but I don't require that my hot sauce be distilled from the essence of the finest organic heirloom peppers danced into a paste under the feet of nubile virgins. And combined with xanthan gum.
Sometimes a condiment is just a condiment.
That said, mad mad love for spicy mustard. It makes everything delicious, even plain crackers and cheese.

I genuinely hold OOT responsible for introducing me to the Banh mi. Driving the 1h 30 from Manilla to Angeles city, we stopped at a service stop that had a Jollibee... would normally be a no brainer... until I spied a banh mi shop. Bought two of them and never looked back. If you haven't indulged, you ought to.
