What is special about it? Reminded me of hot mustard you get with chinese food.

i wouldn't say 'special', but it's something quite a bit better than french's or other common yellow picnic mustards for sandwiches. it's also fantastic for pretzel dipping.

similar to horseradish/wasabi it can be an ingredient that stimulates your sinuses....personally i like that experience sometimes.

You worked at a mustard factory and your job was a test taster? Tell me more.

Worked QA in a little lab in the middle of a factory. Lots of running around, grabbing jars, and doing a bunch of various tests, then repeating every 10-15 min. Not much fun after about an hour...

Place mainly made jams. but also honey and most other condiments. Mustard was the worst, followed by mint sauce (stank, got everywhere) and oily based stuff that stuck to everything and was very sickly.

so are you a certified professional taste tester?

No, no where near. Did the test at uni and was decidedly average.

It was one of only a dozen tests we did. I'm a certified pro food technologist.

Mmmm, mint sauce.

I love it too, just not when there is a few tons of it.

Can't handle mint jelly though. Tastes like you've mixed sugar and toothpaste.

Pineapple ham, maple turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, million dollar pickles, sweet heat mustard and a small bit of mayo. Sourdough was gifted

Second panini of the day, anticipate tomorrow will be similar although I’m thinking Elvis sandwich for brunch and roast beef, cheddar and horseradish for dinner

Lovely. What is this million dollar pickle business?

Bread and butter like taste, but these are thin and easy to place multiple on a sandwich to maximize pickle to bite ratio

six cups of sugar, for 4 cups water, 2 quarts vinegar and 10 cucumbers may be a bit much form me. imo.

great looking sandwich but i've never been a fan of sweet or bread & butter pickles. however, i could see them working with the right mix of other ingredients on a sandwich to cut thru the sweetness.

That sandwich looks great. I’d love to see the Elvis sandwich.

Similar to one of the ones I posted in the OP:

crispy fried prosciutto and salami

Marinated portabellas glazed with balsamic

crustini roll, mayo, avocado, fried salami, portabella, sharp cheddar, smoked provolone, tomato, spring mix, fried prosciutto, cilantro spread

Btw do you guys go with portabella or portobello?

prob go with portabella because that seems to be the most common 'round these parts. also go with 'papa crimini' when i'm feeling frisky.

btw that slab of chicken breast looks a bit under but i'd still hit it.
