spouse now swears by turkey (either hot or cold) on toasted sourdough with a thin layer of cream cheese and colman's mustard to clear the nostrils.
thinking you should give it a go and report back for sinus.

I love Costco! A double pack of this for only 11 bucks

Naturally had to make a sandwich

Wrapped it up and took it for lunch

French roll, caesar dressing, sharp cheddar, black forest ham, tomato, prosciutto, dry coppa, salami, capers, butter lettuce, swiss, dijon, french roll

as long as the french roll wasn't too chewy i'll score that one an 11.
love the caper addition. cornichons would have also been great.

Im embarrassed to admit I had to google "cornichon" to restore my pickle memory.
Those French sure have some funny words for baby pickle!

their great on those kind of sandwiches, and in warm french potato salad with radishes and capers, and eating straight from the jar.

I can't get over that sandwich, cs3. Sheer brilliance.

Cornichon is a fantastic word. I learned it on Chopped.

Love cornichons. Best price to quality ratio I’ve found was at Trader Joe’s.

Non-controversial opinion: jewish deli sandwiches>>>>Italian deli sandwiches.

nice work again cs. i usually hollow out rolls like you had in the first version to help with the ratio. i was wondering if the prosciutto was chewy or if you could get clean bites. would be a pain if you had to work for it.

i can tell a pro sandwich maker when i see tomato in the middle.

i never understand shops/delis making a sandwich that may sit a while before being eaten (1 hr to 1 day etc)and having the tomato as 1st or last layer - the tomato just creates sogginess to the bread always best keep it centred

When I go to an elite deli (cuz McMuffin don't go to some mediocre ****in' delis) I always get my sandwich made on the spot.

Like wtf.

If you voluntarily patronize delis/sandwich shops that pre-make sandwiches, your sandwich opinions are invalid.

Tomato is always better in the middle if you're making sandwiches to go (for work, the beach, a picnic, etc). Cheese on both pieces of bread is also optimal. That way you can sprinkle dressing or oil/vinegar on the produce and it wont destroy your bread.

Tomato also better in the middle when you want to separate the layers of meat, or if you want two distinct layers of crunch, like in a BLT.

I was desperate for sandwiches and with points to burn, I went to Yardhouse at Red Rock. Nashville Hot chicken, and roast beef dip! Good stuff. Absolutely demolished in short order.
