I've been asked to make a sandwich for my home court lunch place. Fairly excited. Thinking it over this weekend. What would be your sandwich?

If I had access to good French bread, banh mi. If not, with access to good tomatoes a delicious club. If neither was an option probably some Italian sandwich with random Italian meats and peppers.

What's on the egg to make it all glossy?

The fries look more like our style fish+chip style chips.

that looks like a francesinha with egg on top. if so, the shiny stuff is gravy, which is what makes them special to different places...everyone keeps their recipe secret

A bunch of low quality ingredients came together like a Voltron to make what was a pretty tasty sandwich.

Sautéed onions and mushrooms then also threw some rosbif in the pan, cooked some baby Swiss on the onions/mushrooms. Toasted bread, hit with light Mayo on both sides, maters then onion/mushrooms/meat. Would again.

Probably a known trick around these parts, but I've been using the bagel setting on my toaster lately to only toast one side of the bread. Nice change up.

I do the same but put two slices in one side of the toaster (Pro tip: turn it way down!) Makes for a crispy outer layer, with fluffy undertones.

I’ve brought it up here before but making a sandwich then air frying it is a nice little treat as well.

you must have some hefty slots in your toaster or use skinnier slices of bread than i do.
