Hahaaa! You are knocking yourself out with the eggs!
What about Tabasco and ketchup ?! I put Tabasco on all eggs. Actually I put it on everything and on any style of egg of course. But eggs and hot sauce go together like milk and cereal
How is this Mexican lindo?

I thought it was a serious question, but now I'm dying to hear the explanation.

it wasn’t about what it did (that’s obvious), more about the memories of mom using one when I was a kid. gotta dip that toast in the runny yolk.

That's because you suck at the internets.

"Mrs. RoundGuy, make me a ham sammich!"

That's some good old sh*t right there.

We did this on the fast food thread but one of the Waffle House interview questions for cooks is how many ways can you cook an egg. I think the minimum you needed to name was 12 although I could be wrong....

I don’t know the proper term and it’s not a “formal” pickle. Just boil and peel some eggs, than boil a couple cups of distilled vinegar and dump in a jar. I do this with a lot of vegetables, sliced cucumber, carrots, beets. It’ll last a week or two without issue. Can add sugar, salt if you like, tried adding hot sauce but it ends up clumping in the jar and is just weird. Don’t even need a mason jar, if you have a glass food container that’ll work.

So just vinegar? Is that what is usually in a jar of pickled eggs on the bar of the VFW?

I've always wished I like eggs, it makes breakfast foods basically a no-go. Everything centers around eggs ftmp. Otherwise you're just eating lonely, overly salty meat.

When I was ~6 my Aunt made some disgustingly greasy fried eggs on a hot summer day at the beach. Threw up. I've never liked eggs since.

As an adult I've circled back some. They're like tofu to me tho, so little taste. All texture.

Generally the brine will consist of vinegar and water, as well as salt and sugar. Also people will add dried spices to the jar mustard seeds, pepper etc. I feel like I can add salt afterwards, I like vinegar and the sourness so didn’t add sugar or water. Not sure if that old school jar of pickled eggs there’s not some type of preservative added to the brine and it actually made in a process that’s more like canning vegetables which seems much more complex.
