The white is what you would expect, but the yolk is -- hmmm --- how to describe it. Like the creamiest most delicious custard you've ever eaten. Actually that's not it either. You really have to experience it.

Completely different from a hard cooked egg.

Does anyone do soft boiled eggs and toast soldiers? Anyone have an egg cracker? It’s oddly satisfying to use one of these.

That is Europe. It's not exactly a soft boiled egg -- but damn close.

I had an egg salad sandwich today. I was so hungry that I forgot to take a pic.

Spoiler:
It was eggcellent.

I can assure you it’s toasted, just not to a crisp as in the other picture.

Had a pastry chef that was anal about taking out the chalaza. Didn't want to have one ruin a delicate item.
He was Bavarian/German and went through their apprentice system. Crazy good but a little nuts.

I remove them 100% of the time when I make scrambled eggs. If I could reliably get them off without breaking the yolk I'd do it for over easy and sunny side up too.

Set immersion circulator to 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Drop in eggs (still in shell). Wait one hour. Remove, crack open, and serve over white rice. (Use a rice cooker to cook rice while the egg is cooking.)

I had to duckduck immersion circulator and I still couldn't tell what it is.

Eggs!! Probably my favorite thing to cook. They're (usually) quick and versatile.

My wife works at a farm brewery, and is lucky enough to be able to take home some farm-fresh eggs occasionally. Check out these beauties!!

And how have deviled eggs not been mentioned in this thread yet? The ultimate potluck dish (though they're *not* quick to make). Here are a few of mine, inspired by Kenji's "9 In-Your-Face Deviled Eggs Variations" recipe:

And eggs for breakfast!! So many choices. I'm a big scrambled egg snob - just a little milk/cream and salt for me. Low and slow. Though I don't have any pictures of just scrambled eggs somehow (the first one below is close). Most of these dishes I just kinda made up on the fly, though one I've done on more than one occasion is the second one - another Kenji recipe - Doritos Migas.

Sorry for all the pics (I got three more coming); I had a hard time paring these down. Hopefully somebody gets some inspiration from a couple and tries something new!

Fried egg with extra crispy edges and still soft yolk.

Add eggs for dinner! So many dishes can be elevated with a poached egg on top. Before and after poached egg pics, then a homemade grilled pizza with an egg on top! Mmmmm!

Evidently you can still get this on Amazon. I'm tempted.

I just use an immersion blender if I need a picture perfect scrambled egg or make flan.

But you can boil the eggs in the shell and have scrambled hard/soft boiled eggs. Immersion blender can't do that.
