Edit looks The Bagel Cafe. Went to Bagelmania on a recommendation from Wyman. Good thing about Bagelmania is it’s practically walking distance to the Westgate superbook.

Pretty brave to make that walk. I do think Bagelmania is very very good. I might prefer Bagel Cafe though. It’s certainly in a nicer area too.

Got my egg steamer. So far had only two attempts. First went very well. Second I made the mistake of not righting the egg when it fell over. As you need to make a tiny hole in them, some leaked out and got on the heating plate. Now my room smells of burnt egg, which is actually surprisingly quite nice. Still came out perfect imo.[/Going to attempt poaching in it tomorrow.

Poaching was a bit of a fail. Whites were still a little runn, and it was a pita getting them out the containers and then washing the containers. Also can only do 2 instead of 7.

Before pic, didn't take an after as it was a bit of a mess. Might try again in the future with some extra ingredients in there.

Went to a place called Lumberjacks and got the hash. It was quite good!

look like pretty great hash eggs, kind of too bad they weren't served on top.

Actually I think what I dont like is just the idea of eating plain eggs by themselves. Needs some meat and/or toast if the yolk is runny. I can do scrambled eggs on their own, but they really need one or more of cheese, meat, diced veggie, etc to be enjoyable

Maybe you like eggs in a glass:
https://www.maya-cooks.com/vienna-st...gg-in-a-glass/

Or this one: https://www.google.com/amp/s/eatsmar...-a-glass%3famp

"Egg in a glass was the way eggs were served in fine hotels and traditional coffee houses; a breakfast classic that somehow over time has been forgotten.
As they say, “simplicity can sometimes be the ultimate sophistication”. This a simple dish where details count, a perfect farm-fresh soft boiled egg fits the bill.
So why not bring back a breakfast classic that is all about simple comfort food, served in a glass. For me, an egg in a glass, cappuccino, and the newspaper – the weekend is off to a good start."

That is a nice breakfast burito Mexican style! Nice BH! add more hotsauce!

Tomatoes beans and avocadoes I'd had in mind as optionally, Salsa or just Tabasco.

Looks great BH. Have you never tried baking your bacon? Man, it's so easy with literally no clean up if you line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Bacon comes out great too.

I have never in my life cooked bacon. The eggs were the only part of that I did entirely.

oven bacon is the only way to go. it turns out better, easier to clean up after, and you don't have to babysit it meaning you can cook other things while it's baking.

learned this foil folding technique from a friend a few years ago.

Wow, I didn't know oven bacon was a thing.

I got one of these for the microwave when I was on a bacon kick:

Cook the bacon in the pan, throw the eggs in the bacon greased pan when the bacon is done. Now both are better.

I'm a huge bacon fan, but eggs are better when cooked in butter. Bacon grease is better used for making gravy.

Cook bacon in oven, take bacon grease from oven and use with eggs

Or make poached eggs like a man
