You want to find something which roots deep and strong, so it will eventually crack the casket.
I was thinking an oak tree, but that grows too slowly.
It also occurs to me that you could plant barley on the grave and hops near the tombstone. Then, come back, harvest, brew, and at least get something enjoyable out of that relationship.
