I don't really know the right place to post this question, so I searched OOT for "Amazon: and this not-too-old thread came up... so is this normal or what? I bought something (not a super important thing, a new controller for a game), and I paid extra for 2 day shipping because the last one I tried to buy took like 21 days to get here from China (that was one ended up broken when I received it). Anyway, the shipping did take 2 days, but it took them over a week to even ship. I just figured if you pay for fast shipping you get it quickly, not that if you pay the actual shipping time is faster but it can take a while to send. This isn't a big deal, just curious.

Check your order details and see if they gave you the proper delivery estimate. You might have just missed where it said you would receive it x days after you ordered it. If it legitimately was later than your estimated delivery time, email or chat them and at least get your shipping refunded.

That one. It makes me so happy. It has perfect cost/fancy things/things I really need ratio. My old one was giving troubles to no end due to not enough memory.

That makes me think. .. Actually I am emotionally completely untouched with my last pair of shoes.

My new monitor: https://www.alternate.nl/html/produc...e=tweakers.net

And my brand new top of the line pc with the most powerful video card that amd had too offer, the fastest and best quality ssd hard drives[2x 1tb] in short a perfectly designed pc for the best and fastest performance that took 4months too pick out and I love it, never saw better video and games, and internet is like lightning in opening pages and playing video's, and the ssd hard drives are fantastic and really make win 10 shine imo best money ever spend.

And a new wash/dry in one machine: http://www.123apparatuur.nl/default....vergelijk&tr=0
So easy just throw your dirty wash in there put in a program and within 2 hours your wash is ready and dry to fold and throw in the closet, and if you forget your laundry this machine automatically starts a airing program every 2 hours so your laundry stays fresh and dry and throws in a very fresh smelling perfume scent, and I can tell you I have ruined thousands of euros of clothes and bed linen and towels because I forgot to empty my washing machine, so this machine is perfect for me and aldo it cost a pretty penny it is worth every cent I spend on it.

Holy ****, 3.4k € for a washing maschine! Did you actually pay this price? In the German internet you can find it for 2.6k, then enough money left over to have someone carry it by foot to Holland.

Can't imagine how any feature of a washer dryer could make it worth more than four or five hundred euros.

What's the latest on the oculus rift? I've been out of video games for a while, but will be buying this (or similar) plus a good gaming PC when it comes out.

I can. There's something satisfying about a good washer & dryer. It's probably due to growing up with cheap ones that were way too small, too loud, were tougher to clean and so on. The tub was probably repaired 5x, the washer would walk across the floor without a perfectly balanced load.

I'm okay with spending maybe $1,000 (€ 900) ish or a little better for each unit if they're really nice quality, and even then it would have to be a deep discount.

3.4k is madness in either currency though. Maybe if can dry clean my suits and fold things for me.

Hey I am sure your right but I am not in the habit of searching the german, englisch, Belgian internet[maybe I should start right? lol] or whatever country's internet, never occurred to me, and this machine was a tip from a friend that works in a professional laundry factory, but hey miele is german, so I could have looked, looking in hindsight, but I did not, too bad, next time.
And for the costs it is common knowledge [in the business of laundry and house wife's I been told] that wash/dryer combinations are very unreliable and break easy and fast, much faster then separate machines, and this one was a exception I have been told and of very good quality, so the price was to be expected.
And the money and trouble I will save for not having to bring my laundry to the laundrette[because I would ruin for sure more laundry when I would have separate washing machine and dryer] only now I have too find someone now too fold and iron my laundry because I hate doing that, and the laundrette did take care of that, but hey everything has got a price right?.

I have put together my pc with the help of a forum here in the Netherlands, that is why it took so long to get it together.

Because I thought I find the best of every component and I have the best and fastest pc there is so to say, but I got corrected fast by many much more knowledgeable people on the subject then me, so I ask on every board what was the best component, because this forum had separate boards for for instance motherboards, video-cards, processors and so on.

And after that I took all these advices too the section about complete systems, and asked there if that would be a good system if I assembled those components, and off-course it was not, so the discussion started what was, and walla!! 4 months later I had my dream pc, and I tell you it was a blast too see all those people discuss and argue what was the best combination of parts like it was there own computer great stuff, and I couldn't/can't thank them enough, because I wouldn't have figured it out in a year or even 2 I guess, with so much choices it literarily is a jungle, so I was so glad for that forum and the people on it, you cant imagine.
And believe me it was worth every cent I spend on it, this pc and monitor shows the best and clear video's I have ever seen, it plays and shows games like I have never seen/experienced and played before, the sound-system and card produces sound that is very much better and clear then I have ever heard, man!! I am now convinced and sure about the saying, that quality always shows and gives you something extra, that you never discover before you seen/heard it, absolutely true!! no doubt!!.
No I am like a kid in a candy store so happy with my new pc and monitor and sound-system, and I will be for some years too come.
I can recommend it too everybody too ask help on a good reliable forum, if you need/want a new pc and/or parts of a pc or monitor, printer, sound-systems or speakers or whatever, it has certainly worked for me.

Hey you got my vote, but I am in the fortunate circumstances that I don't have too look or search for a product that is a couple of hundred euros cheaper, and I am a little embarrassed too say that that makes/made me a bit lazy, and I always been a bit impatient and easy in making my choices, and had my share of regret after the fact in some cases.

But hey I worked my ass of for 25 years to build a business, and I got a offer I really could not refuse for my bussiness, so I could retire on the age of 46, so I think I deserve it a little, but I do watch and search a whole lot more then I did years ago, because it is however you look at it, there is no need to just waste money like that, except when it is for a small business I make exceptions, because I rather pay 200 euro to a small business then a 150 to a big company, because I have fought against much bigger businesses in the beginning of building my company so I know what it is, and feels like, but with good service, quality and complete honesty and a personal approach I kept and got many customers in my time, and with those factors the big company's can never compete and are for many people and businesses reasons they are willing too pay a little more for or get a little less money, at least in my former line of business they did.

Not to rain on your parade but not everyone has $4-5k to spend for something that'll be VERY marginally faster than a $2.5k rig. Especially considering unless you're running with a dual/trio 1440p screens, it won't make a difference at all when running games. (Let alone any kind of other activities).

Nice not so thinly veilled brag, though :P

Did I really write "there's"?? WTF.

I felt like the roomba didn't actually clean the floor at all. First day as a roomba owner i was eating pretzels and a piece of one broke and fell on the floor. Great time to use the charged-up roomba! After 70 minutes of staring at both the roomba as it bounced off stuff and the pretzel as it sat in front of me, i had the buyers' remorse. And, generally, it only brushes the top of your carpet, it doesn't suck the dirt or dust out. I dunno, maybe people without carpet love them.

Mostly it was good for staring at as me and my roommate got drunk and talked about all the important stuff 24 year olds talk about. Betting on whether it would randomly wander into the bathroom or bedroom first was fun.

O I am sorry you think so and the enthusiasm is not to brag, but more the joy I feel how my pc turned out to be and how it feels/looks to me.

And for the money, I am not going to apologize for making some good money, where I worked my ass of for for 25/30 years, and spend it on a good quality pc, so I don't have too replace the whole thing in 2,3 years time, so buying more expensive parts was not to stick people's eyes out as you seem to be suggesting.

And I don't care it won't make a difference when running games or anything like that, it looks different and better to me, and I don't seem to remember mentioning any amount of what my pc has cost, nor do I care or thought about mentioning that, I only care how the result is and if it costs me 5k or 2k why is that important to you?

You now jealousy can make you a bitter human, and resentment is a nasty thing, and I am not saying you feel any of those things but it sure sounds like it, and I hope you don't, because what is the use for it.

Because being happy/glad for other people is a form of being happy too, and a good motivator to do better yourself if you can/are able/want too.
