Ken Onion Work Sharp sharpening system.
I've purchased a lot of sharpening systems and I like them all, but this one is easily the best. Gets things scary sharp and with a convex edge quickly. Only regret is not having more things to sharpen.

Got an LG 65" 4K TV and a king-sized Helix mattress.

I like them both.

This thing is amazing.

My wife got one somewhere between Black Friday and Christmas for only $40, and it is incredible. It's basically a mini convection oven, and it reheats many things much better than either a microwave or conventional oven or toaster oven. Also cooks vegetables and proteins from scratch in a relatively fast, healthy, tasty way. The cooking thread experts may not need this, but for common people like me, it has improved the quality of my food when reheating things, cooking frozen things, or even cooking many dishes from scratch. Highly recommend.

*Credit to Mark_K for first bringing this up in the fast food thread.

The other great thing about it is that it's really easy to clean. The basket part is dishwasher safe but I usually just clean it in the sink with a little soap.

Totally true. In fact, I usually don't even need soap. Just hot water and a paper towel, like how you would clean a cast iron pan. Takes like 15 seconds to clean.

Nice item on mini-convection oven. May go for it.

As a cold brew fan, I've hated dealing with basket and loose grounds. Found re-usable nylon mesh bags. Much easier all around. $2 bucks each.

Nexx Home Smart Garage Door Opener: https://nexxhome.com/products/nexx-garage

Actually bought this a year ago.

Pros:
Works with almost any garage door opener.
Notifications for when door is opened/closed and by who.
If you have multiple people who need a garage door opener, i.e. wife, kids who drive or don't drive, you don't need to buy more remotes, they just download the app and you can give them access.
Cheaper than brand specific ones ($99(currently on sale for $85) vs 2-300)
Mostly easy install, plug it in, connect 2 wires, connect to wifi.
Existing remotes, wall switch still work and require no modification
Works with Google Home/Alexa.
Can auto open your garage door when you are a certain distance from your house (Configurable).
Has an alert if your garage door has been open for a specified time, like you forgot to close it.
Can open/close your garage door from anywhere in the world.

Cons:
The unit install is easy, a plug and 2 wires, all you really need for this is a screw driver, you just twist each wire to existing wire and re-attach. Pretty simple, However the sensor is a pain. You need to run the included wired sensor from the unit to the door itself and mount it. There is then a sensor bar that goes on the wall/near the door. You need to line these up pretty close. This is how it knows if the door is open/closed. Takes some trial and error.

I've been using it for a year and really happy. I bought this because my remote and any other remote for my garage has terrible range, to where i basically needed to be damn near in my driveway to open the door causing me to have to wait in the driveway while the door opens before pulling in.

In researching longer range remotes i didn't find any with great reviews and stumbled across this Smart Garage Unit. Range no longer a problem, love the auto open feature, it opens automatically when I am 100ft from my driveway. If you don't want auto open the app works from anywhere so it still gives the range, or if your phone is in the car and you have Google Home you can simply say "Hey google tell Nexx Home to open the garage" and it does.

You can nickname your garage, mine is "The Batcave", so when I use google home to open it, google home says "The batcave is now opening".

One other benefit I didn't consider when I purchased it. This makes it easy for people to dropoff/pickup items from you. For people that need to do this and your friend or whoever doesn't have a house key, they text me when they get there, I open the garage door, they leave the item, I close the door, all without being there.

I just bought an air fryer (Chefman 5.6 liter). Love it. Granted, I've only done chicken wings and French fries, but they were awesome.

Bought another sous vide, too, so that I can cook meat for myself and the rest of the family at the same time!

+1 on the air fryer.
Also toasts a sandwich nicely. perfect for a couple sausage mcmuffins.

received my first mechanical keyboard yesterday: https://www.banggood.com/Gateron-Swi...r_warehouse=CN

Didn't disappoint super small on my desk, I expected to hate the lightning but it doesn't look tacky like a big gamer keyboard. So flexible between all the customizations and 4 wireless setups I can switch from my surface to my desktop easily

now I m waiting for a black wireless trackpad like this one and I'll be happy with my desk setup: https://www.brydge.eu/pages/chrome-o...d-and-touchpad

A can of chipotles in adobo. Something previously not found in my pantry for some reason, error corrected and recent dinners kicked up nicely.

I’m on my feet a lot at work and i get plantar fasciitis symptoms pretty regularly. I’ve tried stretches, water bottles and everything else and my feet still hurt. A month ago I bought a few pairs of these bitly plantar fasciitis socks and I have been pain free now for a couple weeks

The wife bought a can a while back, but chickened out using them. I'm looking forward to consuming them, perhaps in some slow-cooked pork? What else do you recommend?

There is a serious eats instant pot chicken enchilada recipe I make regularly that uses chiles in adobo. I use them in other dishes but can't remember atm.

The first thing I made was more or less Pioneer Woman's spicy stewed beef. I've also used them with ground beef to make something like spicier taco meat. Haven't tried anything with pork yet or chicken but I would expect both would be great.

Bought an ARDOR 1500gsm Ball Fibre Mattress Topper for $80. Only 1 night in but it feels like I am sleeping on a new bed. I mean not a superduper luxury bed but a pretty darn comfy bed. Not a bad temporary option if your bed is crap and you don't want to buy a new one immediately. I'll report back in a few months and give an update on whether it's holding up ok.

Do you wear those instead of socks, or under socks?
