I've only had the Gubna and thought it was criminally overpriced; far worse than Stone's Ruination.

New Glarus is an excellent brewery.
Spotted Cow is one of their least impressive beers.

There are many ipas that id gladly pay more for, but I can't say im upset to have tried it. It's also a lot cheaper where I've seen it than $ 15 4 pack

Being in asheville which is kinda mecca for beer lovers in america I couldn't imagine choosing that over many other local options

Id actually like to do a nice writeup of some local asheville brews if anyone would be interested. Not sure how far they are getting distributed these days

better than san diego or portland? I haven't been to asheville, but that's an extremely bold claim

I chugged a dog fish head 120 min for my boys birthday, apparently this is frowned upon in the beer snobs community. Thoughts?

Not that it's indicative of quality but they did win beer city usa a few times and they supposedly have more breweries per capita than any city in the country. It's definitely top 5 beer destination in the us

Well it wasn't like I went out of my way to do it, nobody wanted it and it was already opened and we were leaving for bars. I have since had it and actually took my time with it, but when I told that story to my friend who was talking about some crafts he has been buying and whatnot he looked at me like I killed his first born.

I did a friend of mine a moderately large favor, and he has suggested "any beer you want, just make sure its expensive" as a way to pay me back. Any suggestions for a really good beer that is expensive enough that I probably havent tried it and wouldnt buy it on my own? Sort of a weird question I know.

Last time he bought me St. Bernardus Abt 12 which was quite good. I like many styles of beer, tend to favor IPAs but can appreciate basically anything (except wheat beers)

i've exhausted everything Whole Foods, Central Market, and the liquor stores have to offer. don't know what to do now. there's a bar called Strangeways in dallas which offers loads of beer on tap but it's like 20 miles away.

i love the taste of this but it's pretty weak for a stout @ 5% alcohol.
