Agree with this. It's not bad when your choices are Bud, Corona etc., but with a lime sounds nasty.

Yo, man? What's your second favorite beer, Milwaukee's Best with tomato juice?

If you guys get a chance try this new line of beer from Epic Brewery. They are new and spreading out from SLC, Utah. Won tons of awards in the short time they've been open and are spreading along the mid west very rapidly. Their beers are definitely strong and delicious. I also like alot of hefeweizens, particularly just tried the hef from sierra nevada i think is new, and it's good!

Similar for Russian Imperial Stouts. Brewed for the czars at higher ABV to make the journey.

I'm rather offended that you would think that I'd stoop to the level of reading to inform an opinion on something as important as beer.

I will admit that my first hand information is quite a bit out of date. As we are roughly the same age, I think you will understand that I was a very young adult when I had it.

It is of course still a session bitter, 20 pints is a bit much though.
Upon your recommendation, I will give it another try at some point.

I've had Beer Geek Breakfast and thought it was super delicious. Looking forward to your trip report on this and then an expedition to go find some!
I tasted the Weasel alongside a Beer Geek Breakfast tonight. I'd say the Weasel is boozier and has fewer coffee notes than the Breakfast (surprisingly to me). I was expecting some seriously good coffee to come through but it never really did. Nonetheless, I find it to be an outstanding oatmeal stout.

Sorry I was joking. I assumed you had just made it up.

Ruddles was taken over by Watneys in 1986 so unless it was before then I would expect it to be pretty bad. One of those tragic events that made being born in the late 60s suck so much.

Its worth a pint or two just because of this chat but I wouldn't make it a top priority if you come to Beerland.

Been flush with Firestone Walker XV in Philly this month - it may be the greatest beer I've ever tasted. Well worth $20 a bottle.

I think i figured out the picture thing. This was what we enjoyed during the Giants game. The growler in the middle was Espresso Oak Aged Yeti - a fine beer that I actually liked better than the Beer Geek Weasel.

I was only offended that you thought that it was plagiarism.

You thinking I had made it up isn't offensive to me at all. Happenstance has it that I did try it once in the early 1990s. Had I not, I'd probably have made something up about poorly brewed weak bitters, as they are an abomination.

My experience of the same-ish has been rather good. I think you may have been tricked into hanging around with the wrong crowd.

I was implying that I would try it purely due to the chat, just because I trust that you wouldn't steer me wrong in such an innocuous way. I trust that if you were to steer me wrong for the sake of humor, it would involve something more humorous than weak bitters.

I bow to your superior social skills. I dont know who I had to hang round with to avoid tragedies like losing the great Ruddles County to Watneys.

Damn you've got me maudlin now and I'm sober. Beer sometimes wont do cracking open a bottle of Highland park 18. Cheers! The Cage, The Southampton and the oldest unrefurbished pub in England. Lost but not forgotten.

There were quite a few moral innovations involving women that more than made up for the very short-term loss of certain decent beer recipes.

Cheers, my friend. I am currently actually drinking a decent american lager, as alien an idea as that is.

(my son had his first taste of vindaloo with me this week. He hated it. The next day, he asked when he could have it again)

That women of a certain level of sophistication pay little attention to strict notions of their sexual preference.

I'd have thought that this was neither a local phenomena nor a particularly recent one.

Again, I think you might be hanging around the wrong folk.

Yuengling. It is a lager, so something is left to be desired (I generally prefer balanced or somewhat hoppy ales), but has a nice balance. Nothing to visit for, but worth having if you are here.

He "enjoyed" it (in the bad way) within 20 minutes of first having it the first time (southern poof, as you would say). Nevertheless, spice is addictive despite the issues of future consequences.

I dunno what just happened here but if you think yuengling is both a good American lager and that that is a rare thing, you are doing it wrong.

I just happen to prefer ales.

When drinking a lager, I just prefer it to just not be offensive, since to me, unoffensive is about as good as a lager can ever hope to be.

I love being wrong, so if you would suggest a wonderful American lager, I will certainly try it.

I think Lagunitas czeck style pilsner is a delicious lager. Also like Notch session pils, but I don't believe it's distributed outside mass.
