mmmmmm Ruination. Great IPA there.

I drank a bottle of Hoppin Frog BORIS (Barrel Aged Oatmeal Russian Imperial Stout). It was nice but the one I cellared should taste a lot better in a year when it settles down.

Was recently in Vermont and has some Long Trail, was overal a good beer, had like 6 of the varieties(Blackbeary Wheat, Ale, Double Bag, Triple Bag, and a few others).

The triple bag was def the best value at 11% tastes better than most of the decent 6-7% beers that are nationwide. The Ale was a little lacking, the blackbeerry had a strong fruity taste which was nice but not somthing I would liek to have more than 1 or 2 of. The double bag and triple bags are comaprable in alc content to 60/90 min by dogfish, imo...60>double, triple >90...

So I would love to hear some other recommendations to try. I've been told Founders Breakfast Stout is really good so I will be trying that next. Another beer I discovered recently that many people probably have never heard of is a German beer: Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Urbock. It basically taste like a campfire and is pretty awesome.

So guys, whats some good Porter suggestions for me?
Founders makes an amazing Porter that is available year round - I haven't found one I like better yet

Bigfoot is released in February, so the 2011 has about 10 months on it right now. I'd drink one now then decide if you think the rest need more time.

Every year I buy an extra 6 pack and throw it in the cellar (read: cardboard box in a closet) and then do a vertical tasting of all the vintages I have. This coming year I'll drink my last 2006 as well as one each from 2007-2012.

Had Stone Russian Imperial Stout last night. Excellent stuff. Lots of alcohol but not noticeable at all.

See if you can hunt down Little Sumpin' Wild Ale. It is also quite good. Lucky 13 of theirs is also really good. Lagunitas rarely disappoints.

LOL Fat Tire is fine. It's not the best, but certainly nowhere near what you guys are making it out to be. It's also not a brown ale .
