i've exhausted everything Whole Foods, Central Market, and the liquor stores have to offer. don't know what to do now. there's a bar called Strangeways in dallas which offers loads of beer on tap but it's like 20 miles away.

i love the taste of this but it's pretty weak for a stout @ 5% alcohol.

Most stouts aren't that high in alcohol. The trend is towards pumped up imperial stouts tho which tend to very high in alcohol. There are no craft beer stores in your area? No total wine and more?

If you live in Dallas, you should hit up The Meddlesome Moth, they have a pretty great selection, and really good food. Kinda pricey.

probably only available in Arizona but we have a local brewer called San Tan Brewery that I have been a big fan of for awhile.

Just found out about this new Mr. Pineapple beer and it's extremely refreshing especially chilling pool side or playing golf in the sun.

Would love to try that, but I doubt it will ever be around. Speaking of fruity summer beers that we should not be seen drinking, anyone try that new lemonade beer? I've seen commercials for it but forget the name.

the mr. pineapple sounds super sweet but it's a wheat beer with just a tiny hint of pineapple at the end. highly recommend it for any arizona people

that pope - the mr. pineapple is wayyyyyyyyy better than Four Peaks Peach Ale. Not nearly as sweet as the peach ale and like I said just it's basically a wheat beer with a hint of pineapple at the end...not overpowering at all.

they are starting to carry it at a lot of places so look for it. on the san tan brewery website they list all the locations that carry it if you wanna track it down

Bought two cans.

First can - consumed as I would any of my go to IPAs or stouts: Absolutely gross, quaff, quaff... had to mix it with a Green Flash Double Stout to kill the sweet, **** taste.

Second can - consumed directly after a 90 minute run in the sun this afternoon: Starved of carbohydrates and electrolytes, it was amazingly refreshing and I wished I had another can. Going to add some of these to my post-run recovery drinks.

Summary: If you like IPA's and such, don't bother; if you like light, fairly carbonated crisp and sweet beer (e.g., Miller High Life, I guess) after a day in the sun, get some Mr. Pineapple.
