I definitely agree. If I'm throwing a lime in my beer, Sol will be my first choice. Nothing wrong with having one of these on a hot summer day chilling in your backyard or on the beach.

CR, I'll have to check that place out. It's a decent trek from my part of town but next time I'm around there I will try to stop in.

SAN TAN BREWERY here in AZ has awesome canned beers. I am a big fan of the yellow Hefe's which are awesome on a hot arizona summer afternoon

As you can see from an earlier post of mine, I really dig their Devil's Ale. I even had it back when it was called Sun Devil's Ale.

considering the price, I'd rate corona extra (never had light) as the single worst beer on the market today.

on the other hand, the company i work for distributes sierra nevada products in the area and tumbler is already back-ordered in barrels and cases.

Tried the wyld extra pale ale from uinta on tap tonight and it was excellent. Really good and really fresh hoppy taste wthout being hopped out or at all bitter.

Local store had a Stone tasting Friday and they brought two cases of 08 IRS. I got the last bottle! They were charging original retail $6. Picked up the 15th anniversary Black IPA as well bc I felt like the IRS was stealing or something...oh and it had a lol cartoon on the label.

A couple new frontrunners for me out of Colorado

Odell's St. Lupulin

and
Oskar Blues Deviant Dales

Both of these come with a massive hop flavor but with a roundness you don't find in a lot of today's hop-bomb beers (like original dales, ranger IPA, most of the Stone beers etc). It's like they're brewed for flavor not IBUs. Highly recommend both.

I'm not a big drinker of anything but Deviant Dales is really good. I haven't tried St. Lupulin.

kill devil by widmer brothers

not bad, im a big fan of brown ales and i found this one to be quite enjoyable. lots of good toasty flavors, nuts, vanilla. i expected it to be a little stronger but it seemed rather delicate for a 9% beer. it doesnt quite smack me in the face as much as i wanted but an extremely enjoyable drink nonetheless. would absolutely recommend if you like this style.

update: also realized i dont like tripels that much which would explain why i didnt enjoy my golden monkey

IT'S PUMPKIN SEASON!

Went to the distributor yesterday to pick up a case of Michelob Ultra (NOT for me, friend's uncle who does my brakes) and saw that they already had a few in already. Had completely forgot they showed up this early. Of course I had to pick up a case of Sam Adams Octoberfest

My favorite is Sierra Nevada's Hoptimmum. It gets you drunk.

Also, cheaper alternative but equally tasty is Schlafly AIPA.

Just grabbed some Saint Arnold Oktoberfest longnecks today. Also grabbed a bottle of hard apple cider. It's called Crispin natural hard apple cider, out of Minnesota. 6.9% abv. Haven't tried it yet but it's described as "Irish stout yeast and organic molasses with fresh-pressed apple juice." Hmm. It was $6 for a 22oz. There was a local bottle called Argus Cidery from Austin, TX that was 9+% abv in a larger bottle for $18. I almost bought it. Each bottle was numbered out of 2,074 made. Mabye that's how they trick you - it had a cork and everything.

Neither cider is on beer advocate. Maybe it's not considered beer but I tried to look them up and no info.

Anything to put me into the fall season mood I'm all for. GOAT season AINEC.
