i already had 12 and will probably buy 8 more tomorrow. if you haven't had the green flash imperial it's also very good and also from california and it tastes very similar but the folks at green flash have been doing it for a very long time.

One beer I've been drinking a lot lately is Lagunitas Dogtown, a pale ale with citrus notes. It's a very nice beer, especially for the warm weather.

Hoptimum is great, as is Torpedo. I'm hopeful that I'll get to rub elbows with some of the SN folks now that they're moving to Asheville. I didn't think Hoptimum was in short supply when it came out, as there was plenty of it here in TN. Just got to try the Foam Pilsner at the Music City Brewer's Fest, and thought it was good. Hard to really evaluate in that setting but I liked it. When I walked up to get a sample the volunteer pourer said, "So you like tasteless beer?" and I gave him my best withering stare.

I agree, they all suck. Seasonals are better, but at this point the only one I'll actually buy a case of is the octoberfest, maybe summer for a party or something.

100% agree. I am having trouble giving the last 2 in my fridge away.

Enjoying a Gumballhead right now. The local Binnys is ALWAYS sold out, was able to buy my first sixer of it in a loooong time. This is a good night.

I'm liking Sol Atm.

It has to be the smoothest beer ever, it just glides down your throat like a soft waterfall. I gulped down a whole bottle without even realising.

I found something about it very unpleasant. It had a really weird spicy flavor that reminded me of that fat tire tripel which I also hate. I have had other beers of that style that I enjoy but this one just didn't click with me.

I had Golden Monkey a while back and remember it being good. Or at least I don't remember it being bad.

Sol is a good easy drinking mexican macro lager for sure. Way better than alternatives like XX or FFS, Corona. There's definitely something to be said for that kind of crappy beer on hot days in the sun.. as long as its cheap.

I've tried a bunch of Victory and just can't get into it. I put it in the Rogue category of overrated, overpriced breweries.

my old bottle shop had a seemingly endless supply (or maybe no one ever bought it), every time i went in there i'd see some. does your shop carry Stone brews? ask them about it if they do or look somewhere else, been out for 9 months though and its a limited release so idk what kind of luck you'll have finding it now. you're in houston right? this store appears to be liked by the locals http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/20134
