Thirsty Dog's Pumpkin Ale is the best and it should be out again soon! Stone IPA is excellent also and I love Rogue's Dead Guy Ale. Also Great Lakes Christmas ale should be out soon as all the Christmas in July supply has been long depleted!

They're all exactly the same. Exactly. Seriously take 10 minutes to google "beer blind taste test" and read some of the articles. American style lagers like all of the above are basically impossible to tell apart and are all equally "good". You're deluding yourself if you say otherwise.

I don't understand wtf your problem is. When I go eat out at a hibachi grill they offer 2 beers, afaik. Asahi or Sapporo. I always get Sapporo and it always tastes good with the food I am eating.

WTF do you want me to do demand they go out and bring me a LaBatt Blue instead?

Please STFU

Could you be any more of a spaz? How do you still post here? Someone disagrees with you and you go berserk in thread after thread with no provocation at all. Telling me to shut the **** up because I rightfully tell you your beer tastes just like all the other beers? What in the world is wrong with you?

What's really funny is that you completely missed the point too.

Grue I get your point because I agree, I prefer micro brews because to me (my opinion, don't jump down my throat) American lagers taste the same or at least so similar that there's not enough differential to make me choose one over the other. That's when I drink whatever's on happy hour!

Your point is that several beers taste similar. WHOA! You should get a Nobel Prize for Obviousness.

How does this observation change the facts:

1) I enjoy Sapporo
2) I always get it (over Asahi or ****ing Coke or tea which I hate) when I eat hibachi?

I'm sorry you don't "get the love" for Sapporo, but pointing out that you think it tastes similar to other beers doesn't really change anything. I've probably never even had a LaBatt Blue. If I did, I MIGHT LIKE IT!!! Sorry if that bothers you Grue!

I'll try to stop deluding myself into thinking I enjoy Sapporo.

I mean as recently as a few days ago I mention that I think Hoegaarden tastes just like Miller Lite. I'm not over here beating off to Sapporo because I think some Asian woman in a back alley in a Japanese village is brewing them 1 at a time.

Sierra Nevada's stout is good and should be widely available, no surprise there.

Definitely one of the best things about living in San Diego is the quality of their beers.

Best IPA's:

Stone, Alefish, Ballast Point, Port Brewing, and Alpine.

I drink Racer 5 on the reg too, which is Northern Cal.

They just opened up a Green Flash Brewing Company headquarters 3 blocks from my house in San Diego. They open it up to the public in the afternoons. Trip report soon...

This really isn't true at all in my experience. It is true they are made with relatively the same ingredients but for myself I can definitely tell some maybe most of the American style lagers apart. Also, blind beer taste tests take away one of the more crucial elements to the beer which is the appearance obv...If you take away smell it also takes away one of the most crucial elements. If you focus soley on taste, meaning no aroma, no appearance, no mouthfeel, etc...then you really kill the overall quality of the beer.

I have many different favorite beers at different times of the year, this one is my current favorite:

Cigar City Jai Alai IPA on White Oak

Bells Expedition Stout is a very good Russian Imperial Stout and I think they distribute fairly wide.

is sapporo really made in Canada? I picked up a case of harp recently and noticed the label said "imported Irish recipe" or something like that and said on the back it was brewed in Canada.

I wasn't too shocked. last time I was at an Indian restaurant I had "indian" kingfisher beer that was brewed in new york.

Breckinridge Vanilla Porter out of Colorado pretty much rocks and I'm a stout lover, I would recommend it to anyone who digs stout. Old Leg Humper, also a porter from Thirsty Dog is pretty good as well. If anyone has a Fathead's around them, Gogglefogger is amazing! Fathead's: http://fatheadsbrewing.com/home.php

Um what? First off 99% of "american style lagers" will look exactly the same, exactly. 2nd off who says "most blind taste tests don't include appearance"? Um.. you know its not actually blind, right? Have you done a blind taste test of american light lagers? I'm not trying to be a dick, but try it. Buy 4-5 macrobrews, have your SO pour them into glasses, and please, please show me and the rest of the world wrong that you can tell coors light from bud light from miller light.

Most Sapporo sold in North America is brewed at the Sleeman brewery in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. If its made in Canada its still imported obv..

I buy plenty of crappy lagers when I'm out mostly because thats all some places have and its cheap especially at happy hour and **** it, I'm here to get drunk, but its flat out ridiculous that people can come to this thread and say stuff like "oh I prefer millerweiser it tastes way better than coors genuine draft!" with a straight face. Especially claiming overpriced garbage like Sapporo or Heinekin or Stella is superior in any way shape or form to the big 3 macro lagers. Annoys the **** out of me.

Dude, relax. You're getting way too emotional about this topic.

I'd still like to know how in any way shape or form I am "deluding" myself into thinking I enjoy the taste of Sapporo. You conveniently responded to everyone but me...

I didn't respond because you consistently resort to personal attacks and profanity to get your point across, a point that you strawman to a ridiculous degree. Anyone could read my posts in this thread and your "counter arguments" to them and realize you're attacking a position I did not take (including the one above), along with a bunch of BADASS swears. Why would I bother getting an internet message board argument with someone like that? What a waste of time. I wish I had the 2 minutes it took to create this post back so I could do something more useful like piss out all the bell's 2 hearted I drank tonight. =/

So you're responding to me to tell me that you aren't gonna respond to me. Because I cuss.

WTF is wrong with you? Go back and re-read the last 50 posts itt and see how terrible you sound. I think you should probably stop drinking tonight man. There's always another day to get piss drunk.
