What is your favorite beer? What is your favorite beer?

Every time I drink a beer from Unibroue I think, "This is really good, I should drink this more often." But then I never do. What's up with that?

Any fans of Shiner Blonde, Black or Hefeweizen? Local store got those in and I haven't tried them yet. Like Bock, really like the Ruby Redbird.

I know I've had their variety pack and I don't really remember loving them. Don't recall if they were terrible or anything but I would have remembered if I loved them. I think a lot of these guys feel pressured to delve into these other varietals and often they fall flat. I'm almost certain I thought their black was nasty but I'm not a fan of those really dark beers anyway so it may have actually been good.

what i like about it is that it has all the flavor and you'd expect from a great Belgian beer but is not too sweet like Belgian quads. i like quads such as St. Bernardus Abt 12, Three Philosphers, and Rochefort 10, but they're always a bit too malty and rich. this beer you can drink lots of because it hides the alcohol very well and goes down smooth. haven't tried it on tap yet but there's a couple bars here that have it on tap so it's on my agenda for sure.

also Unibroue makes my favorite tripel, La Fin Du Monde. highly recommend it.
Sounds tasty. How much for a bottle?

not expensive at all compared to other Belgian style beers. the 750ml is $7-$8 depending on where u go. i'm really excited to try the draft since last time i tried a belgain beer in bottle then tried it on draft it was like a totally different beer and had so much more flavor, freshness, and refreshingness i'm just making up words now.

i'm terrible at describing beers, so here are reviews of Trois Pistoles at Beer Advocate that may be able to describe it better than i can fwiw: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/22/30

Their lager is ass and their Octoberfest just came in so I got 12 longnecks and 2 in I was thinking "damn I gotta drink 10 more of these or give them away".

I always forget what beers I don't care for.

But I keep forgetting. I see it at the store and I'm like "Huh, Boston, beer,.... that's gotta taste good."
I came to the same conclusion on Samuel Adams years ago. Then recently, a friend gave me a Samuel Adams Latitude 48. From their website:
"...a unique IPA brewed with a select blend of hops from top German, English, and American growing regions all located close to the 48th latitude within the “hop belt” of the Northern Hemisphere..."
It's amazing how select hops from three different countries can be blended together to taste like eleven ounces of the strongest unsweetened grapefruit juice on the planet with one ounce of apple-cider vinegar thrown in for good measure.

I was surprised at the lack of hops in the Latitude 48. It is less hoppy than Boston Lager.

Smuttynose Finestkind IPA

Picked this up on a whim at a pretty empty package store last month, it was mmm mmm good. Only had a few of them, so certainly can't be a favorite beer yet, but I certainly approve.

Don't get the hate on Sam Adams Octoberfest. And I think Yuengling is better than its competition.

just had dogfish head burton baton. an imperial ipa with 10 abv, this one is slightly stronger than the 90 minute, has an oaked taste to it, and a smaller head than the 90 minute. i like it, just as good as the 90 minute, just different.

If you re read my post I said from beer snobbish beers to get drunk in a bar beers.

Hence 3 relatively unique high gravs and then 4 light mega brewery beers.

Picked up a 4 pack of these tonight at Spec's. Had 1 and it was pretty good. It has a bit of a champagne flavor to it so not sure how I feel about that but I will reserve final judgment until I finish the other 3. I'm not a beer snob so it may be a bit too refined for my palette at this point.

Currently drinking a six of Abita Turbodog. It's good, only problem is that when I'm drinking I want pizza or cheetos or basically anything salty and it doesn't go with any of that so I had to suck it up and eat a brownie
