theres a really good spanish restaurant in dc (called estadio) that also happens to usually have a couple surlys available (in can form). one of my favorite restaurants, certainly in part because of that.

Somehow this made it to Ohio. From a brewery in San Francisco and I've heard good things about them. And their name is pretty cool as well.
Very good beer... Got this on tap at my house last year. Bad idea! Took forever to finish the keg because it got you so hung over!

Def get a 6 pack of it.

All of Oskar Blues beers are in cans and they are all delicious (other than Old Chub which I dislike greatly)

Dale's Pale Ale and Ten Fidy are legit great beers

I bought a six pack of Sam Adams Latitude whatever IPA this weekend, its pretty good

I started drinking a few Steam Whistle when my uncle left a box of it here visiting. Cool looking box w/an opener in it. So any time I have a few now that's what I get.

Plus they have a seriously cool delivery fleet.

Thanks for this suggestion. Will definitely have to drop by downtown and try this out soon.

Everybody who suggests Heineken as a good beer has probably not tried too many beers. You'll have a hard time finding a worse beer in a (non American) supermarket.

Out of all the cheap beers, I like PBR the best.

Blue Moon is my fav overall

I've heard that cheaper cans will negatively affect the taste (e.g. bud light) but that microbreweries get more expensive cans that don't, but I am not at all confident that its actually true. It seems pretty unlikely that microbreweries that obviously care a lot about the taste of their beer would use cans instead of bottles if it did have a negative effect though.

there might be some truth to that. I had some dale's recently and the can was more sturdy and heavier than a normal beer/soda can.

AFAIK the primary reason most micro breweries don't use cans is because its more expensive to set up. You need to be making a lot of canned beer for it to be worth it unless you don't mind charging 8-10 a 6pack. At that price point most beer drinkers will opt for bottles.

Had my first IPA last week. Rogue IPA. Enjoyed it, though it was much spicier (?) than I'm used to. That's fine as I love spicy food but it will take a bit of getting used to. It was pretty strong though which is also good news.
