I stumbled onto "The Drop Out" last night. I'm not sure I would actually recommend it, but I have found the first two episodes very fascinating. I lack the imagination to see how this can sustain itself through 6 episodes, but it is interesting so far. Particularly so for me, since this is my first exposure to the Theranos/ Elizabeth Holmes story.
Listening to "Root of Evil" which is about the royally f****ed up family at the center of the LA "Black Dahlia" murder mystery. The entire family is pretty much bananas. Very well done though.
In the Dark is another great true crime podcast, especially season 2 which is about a black man in Alabama (Curtis Flowers) who has been tried for the same murder 6 times and is currently on death row awaiting a Supreme Court hearing on his case. Pretty eye-opening stuff about how the criminal justice system works (or doesn't).
If you are into true crime and enjoyed "Atlanta Monster" (limited series about Wayne Williams and the Atlanta child murders) a second season has dropped. It's just called "Monster" this time and deals with the Zodiac killer.

TR on this, just finished episode 15.
Spoiler:
I still recommend it but not as enthusiastically as when I first started listening. It's 15 episodes ldo but you can probably stop after 11 as they've pretty much said everything worth saying by then (spoiler: killer still hasn't been caught and everything discussed after that is for the most part speculation and theories, some having little basis in reality). It reminded me a lot of 'Up and Vanished' I guess because the same team produced both casts. I'll give it a solid B-. Still definitely worth a listen if true crime is your bag...but if you've read up on the case to even a moderate degree you won't find much new info here. (Most interesting/surprising thing to me is that Zodiac book, which was made into a movie starring Jake Gyllenhal and Mark Ruffalo, had many glaring inaccuracies and the guy we think did it after watching that movie was ruled out by authorities).
It would be impossible to convince me that the dude wasn’t responsible for numerous deaths during his lifetime. He sounds like pure evil, worst of the worst type stuff.
I recommend everyone listen to the debut episode of Analysis of Murder by Dr. Phil which came out this past week. The first episode was something else; I am eagerly awaiting Episode 2.
I'm a recent convert to Bill Burr's podcast. He puts new ones up on Mondays and Thursdays most weeks. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this man and his brand of insightful intelligent humor has restored my faith in humanity. I mean I've always liked his stand-up act, but this podcast is a revelation.

I rather listen to his podcast than music while working out.
I 'discovered' Burr on Conan's show. Glad that he was on Conan's podcast, as he was one of the rare ones that really made Coco laugh. His own podcast is also a delight.
