Yeh I started Cum Town too. Half the time I'm laughing, half the time I'm lost and not sure what they're on about.

Also listened to the Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project. It sounded right up my street, but the episode I listened to was really meh. I barely cracked a smile throughout the whole thing.

I guess each episode it pretty different though, so I might give it another go.

Yeah, Cum Town is def heavy with references to obscure internet/NYC/Baltimore/DC comedy stuff, they still occasionally will go off on a tangent where I have no clue who or what they're talking about. I had followed Nick on Twitter for years because he was funny on there, but only started listening to Cum Town once the Chapo guys started plugging it.

That reminds me, I was listening to an old ep the other day where they were talking in amazement about how Chapo's Patreon had hit $25k/month (it's at over $100k now and theirs is over $30k). Pretty funny looking back.

It's more regular true crime, less lol Florida. If there isn't a lol Florida podcast, there should be.

Indeed. When I was in college, I remember a news report about a couple being arrested for having sex on the dance floor of a nightclub in Tallahassee. When the police asked the guy who long he had known the woman, he said that he met her for the first time "that song".

Lately been listening to Jordan Peterson podcast. Can be a bit dry at times but got some good nuggets.

Chapo Trap House dunking on Jordan Peterson (plus some bonus Google stuff) had me cracking up in public:

(Impression itself gets funnier and better as they go along.)

I guess their relationship does make for good bits sometimes, but surely the podcast would be better if the co-host was someone more comedically inclined or if it was just bobby with guests. I recommend the episode with James Van Der Beek as an introduction, him and Bobby have really good chemistry.

I'm gonna check out Cum Town only because I like the name.
So glad I checked this thread to get he heads up about Tigerbelly. I've been binging the last few days and Love it!

I like his girlfriend too, she seems really cool imo

BBC just released a podcast covering the "Isdal Woman" case; "was found dead at Isdalen Valley in Bergen, Norway, on 29 November 1970. Considered one of Norway's most profound mysteries, the case has been the subject of intense speculation for many years.Multiple investigations point to the possibility that she was a spy."

Yeah, it's a hella addicting podcast, I think I've seen every episode with a guest. His girlfriend gives me evil disney princess vibes. Like, she absolutely wouldn't be dating him if he wasn't financially successful and that irks me. I picked up on that before tigerbelly was even a thing, she used to come on the DVDASA podcast (David Choe and Asa Akira were hosts) with Bobby.

I forgot about Tiger Belly, haven't listened in awhile but there was a great episode with Theo Von awhile back. Theo is a hilarious podcast guest. He has his own podcast which is good, but I think he shines as a guest on other comedy shows.

I thought he was really funny on Tigerbelly, but it straight up seemed like half of what he was saying was standup material. Didn't seem like natural dialogue at all, maybe I'm wrong though.

I can see that, but I couldn't really say one way or another because I haven't seen a ton of his standup. Did see him live last year and he was hilarious.

If you're a fan of Joey Diaz, check out the episode of The Church of What's Happening now when Theo and Diaz take mushrooms. It's episode 443. It's a lot better if you watch the video on youtube. There's also a video of Theo doing a standup set right afterwards while he's still tripping.

That podcast episode is probably my all time favorite, but it may not be as funny if you're not into to Diaz.

Pretty sure it's episode 383, not 443

Just discovered this - The Habitat. Seems pretty cool so far.
Quote:
On a remote mountain in Hawaii, there's a fake planet Mars. Six volunteers are secluded in an imitation Mars habitat where they will work as imitation astronauts for one very real year. The goal: to help NASA understand what life might be like on the red planet—and plan for the day when the dress rehearsals are over, and we blast off for real. Host Lynn Levy has been chronicling this experiment from the moment the crew set foot in their habitat, communicating with them through audio diaries that detail their discoveries, their frustrations, and their evolving and devolving relationships with each other. From those diaries, Gimlet Media has crafted an addictive serialized podcast: the true story of a fake planet.

I wonder if Crimetown is going to start up again. First season was great. Now I'm beginning to think it's dead.

Having grown up in a southern **** town, it didn't do much for me. But I can see its appeal to city Yankees.

The sidekick on Small Town Murder really got on my nerves after 4-5 episodes. That guy really needs to chill.

Man, if George Carlin did a history podcast that would be SOMETHING.

Dan Carlin is the man, tho.
