Added these to my list in recent weeks.

The Edge with Joey Barton - Barton interviews people from the world of sport, politics and music about what drives them and gives them the edge at elite level. Really interesting and you get some good insights.

Truth & Moves: A Little White Lies Podcast - Hosted by AC Jimbo, speak about films.

Berkhamsted Revisited: A Teenage Diary Podcast - They go back and look at their diary as a 13 year old back in 2005, it's cringe as and hilarious. Takes you back. Well worth a listen.

I use Pocketcasts to download my podcasts on my phone. I don't remember which thread I saw(hell maybe twitter actually) discussing which programs to use for podcasts, but I know most of the replies were not geared toward Pocketcasts. I really like it, I just added a ton of the podcasts that were recommended and they were all available on Pocketcasts.

I use Pocketcasts. Mostly cause it was the first one I tried and I haven't found anything wrong with it.

I still use Stitcher for the exact same reason. If there was a compelling reason to switch, I would.

Last week's episode was incredible. You know when the media reports "ISIS New Year's Eve Terror Plot Foiled"? What has actually happened is that the FBI spent months or years tricking a mentally ill person into agreeing to a fake ISIS plot, and then arrested them for it. Then the media just regurgitates an FBI press release rather than reading the court documents. It's ****ing unreal. https://soundcloud.com/citationsneed...of-forever-war

The episodes tackle all different topics in this same way, explaining where the media goes wrong with biased, incorrect, or just plain imbecilic reporting.
Thanks for this, somehow hadn't noticed it before. This is the kind of stuff I look for in podcasts. Powered through 4 of them working today.

I am not a big podcast listener, but after following Serial I came across Small Town Murder (https://itunes.apple.com/nz/podcast/...194755213?mt=2), a true crime comedy podcast. First episodes were a bit slow, but it became pretty addictive.
Basically two comedians going through a murder case (which is loosely related to a small town) and making fun of the murderer and ridiculous circumstances. It is quite dark and certainly not politically correct, but the story telling and comedy is pretty good.

Citations Needed is very good.

Not gonna be everyone's cup of tea, but Cum Town makes me laugh harder than pretty much anything in tv/radio/podcasts ever has.

I've been listening to TigerBelly a lot, watching it really. Never really been that way with a podcast that had a video version before. Bobby Lee is so funny, and his physical gestures when talking make it so much funnier. Not really a fan of his girlfriend, the co-host. Don't like what she adds to the podcast. I guess their relationship does make for good bits sometimes, but surely the podcast would be better if the co-host was someone more comedically inclined or if it was just bobby with guests. I recommend the episode with James Van Der Beek as an introduction, him and Bobby have really good chemistry.

I'm gonna check out Cum Town only because I like the name.

Been listening to Slow Burn, a podcast series about Watergate. It's pretty short, like 7 episodes, 30 mins each, but really interesting stuff. I didn't know too much about it going in, just the basics, but it's been very enjoyable and presented very well. Would reccomend

Been going through old Cum Town podcasts recently...have to avoid listening to them in public because they make me laugh so hard. Definitely not for everyone though.

My podcast app seems to have completely died, which is a bit annoying. I'm seeing it as a fresh start though. I figure if I can't even remember the name of one of the 50 or so I was subscribed to, then I probably wasn't listening to it anyway.

Hah yea that happened to me a few times with Apple's awful native Podcasts app, though it seems they may have worked out the bugs (or it may have had something to do with not enough space on device).

Started Intersting Things based on all of the great reviews. I love the host of the show. Straight to the point and doesn’t waste any time. Even if the subject doesn’t grab me it’s 10-15 minutes and the host is always entertaining.

Was sorta getting into KillTony, but I'm sick of it already. I liked the episode with Chris D'Elia and Ron Funches a lot. Then I watched a few more and they just weren't the same. I think it's most interesting and funny and feelgood when they have an organic conversation with the person doing the set, but a lot of episodes it basically turns into a roast where the random gets interrupted with a tired joke 10 times per sentence when they're being interviewed. Watching it really makes the LA comedy scene seem hella depressing.

Surprised Cum Town has been mentioned in the thread, but not Chapo.

Anyone who likes Cum Town should also listen to the White Chocolate Pipecast, it's Stav and Adam talking about basketball.

I listen to the above the most, as well as:

Your Kickstarter Sucks
Most of the Bald Move stuff as long as I'm watching the shows they're reviewing
Lights, Camera, Podcast
Shutdown Fullcast
Limited Upside
This Week in Atrocity
Katie Halper Show

I used to listen to the Pod Save bros but they've just become too insufferable. I do still like Ana Marie Cox, I'll check her out every once in a while.

Lebatard used to be good too but recently his show has been godawful.

Agreed with Chapo Trap House (and surprised it wasn't mentioned), have never tried Cum Town. Katie Halper I've tried a little bit but it hasn't stuck.

Michael & Us is terrific and I have many to catch up on. The mission statement was to cover all of Michael Moore's movies and mostly trash them (from the left politically and from a film crit perspective), but they've covered many other politically-related movies after finishing that. I linked to the episode on Christopher Nolan and The Dark Knight Rises. Most recently they started a miniseries on South Park.

The Important Cinema Club shares one of those two hosts and is a more general film podcast. I linked to the most recent one, on Paul Verhoeven (Total Recall, Robocop, Starship Troopers, etc.), and how he was completely overlooked as a serious filmmaker for years. Everybody missed the boat completely on Showgirls.

Only a few episodes in, but Felonious Florida is a pretty good true crime podcast.

I like this one, have listened to three eps. I hope they stop apologizing for inserting humor into murder stories.

Hadn't heard of Cum Town previously, started at episode 91 this morning as that episode's description seemed reasonably neutral. Belly-laughed multiple times. Super irreverent and offensive (and A+ hilarious), indeed it's not for everyone.

Already halfway through episode 92 and I'm hooked.
