Homecoming?

This was a great one.

I've listened to season 1 of Crimetown and really enjoyed it. Much more like the Wire than Law and Order. Hearing the perspective of the criminals is interesting and this series follows one main character (Buddy Cianci in Providence) with many side stories/characters in the criminal underworld near New England. I know season 2 of Crimetown is out now and that follows Detroit.

I currently have been flipping between Hardcore History podcasts (Wrath of the Khans and Punic Wars were both great) and a new podcast that I started called 'Last Seen'. It's a podcast about the largest unsolved art heist in history and involves some true crime elements, much like Crimetown. I'm only 2 episodes in but I enjoy it: http://www.wbur.org/lastseen

Had anyone listened to Slow Burn?

First season was on Watergate, second was on Clinton / Lewinsky scandal.

Both seasons are v good.

I’ve been enjoying Hoax lately - stand-alone eps on different hoaxes. It’s decent.

Finished the new Homecoming TV series the other night. It did a good job of translating the tone and atmosphere of the pod to TV and made things a little clearer for me. Great performances from Julia Roberts and Shea Wigham

I’ve been enjoying season 2 of Crimetown, even though I’m from Detroit and know most of the stories. Will go back for season 1 later

Can anyone recommend any music podcasts (i.e. actually playing songs)?

I know they're not really a thing due to copyrights, but I've found a couple of decent EDM ones and folk ones.

On LFS’s recommendation, I’m going to try Dr. Death.

Was sorely disappointed by episode one of the return of Crimetown. I miss the old narrator and I just cannot listen to the old woman for very long. I'm sure she's great and it's not her fault she doesn't have teeth or whatever, but it's like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Really enjoyed this. The ads throughout the ep were rough though. Do them at the beginning or end or both. Not during, imo.

I thought Dr. Death was about a C+. I did not like the ads, and there wasn’t much depth to the story.

Most recent season of Ear Hustle was incredible.

Waking Up With Sam Harris has been great for my insomnia.

When I see him on the JRE, it seems as though his voice is putting his face to sleep.

Sword and Scale is still great.

The creator/narrator of it has a new project starting in January 2019. It's him and two other guys and it's supposed to be pretty dark.

My favorite podcast was adam carolla from about 5 years ago. Anyone have a recommendation based on that?

Tough to find comparison imo, he is so unique. I would say he is Stern-esque in that rare ability to go on and on about w/e and still be interesting. Interested to hear what others may recommend tho
