Same. It's far down on my list of favorite candies/sweets, but I don't dislike it.

for weekday breakfast, i usually get a sausage egg mcmuffin, but don't eat the bread. sometimes i will mix it up and get pret a manger's version of the sausage egg mcmuffin. on weekends, i make eggs and bacon on saturdays, and i like to get an everything bagel with cream cheese on sundays.

Mrs. T’s dinner last night was snap pea and chicken stir-fry. She had to yell at me to not eat a third serving because our daughters weren’t home from ballet yet and neither had eaten — and I would have eaten every last scrap in the wok if given free rein.

I’m tempted to walk down the street and get an egg McMuffin.

Flour tortillas shells. Then everything I eat would be in burrito form. This was a staple in my diet during my broke days. It's amazing how 3 home made burritos a day pack on the pounds big time, but the same ingredients sans burrito has me shedding pounds like a junkie.

mashed avocado mixed with lime/salt/pepper/paprika/garlic

healthy i'm dippin carrots and pepper slices in that **** , or using it as salad dressing

unhealthy i'm ravaging giant bags of two for one pita chips

but i got put on homemade mashed avocado (when does it become guacamole?) and i can't go back now

Interesting thread!

I have always eaten (forty-five years) a certain number of protein grams every three hours and now it's about eighteen grams per serving. I eat out at sit down restaurants once or twice a day, but I save at least half of each meal to eat later or the next day. I don't have near the appetite that I used to have, thank goodness, so I'm about the same weight I've always been (6' 1" 190), but I have noticed the quality is slowly changing, lol.

I don't eat much fast food and I don't like soda, but I do like a bit of something sweet after most meals, although I"m not enjoying Little Debbie as much as I used to. I start the day with the same protein drink I've used since my twenties (mostly powdered milk, whey, soy, whatever) and things seem to be going fine.

My restaurant eating is with friends, all of whom are a variety of vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian (I'm mostly this), etc., so each place we eat is somewhat designed around their needs. I don't particularly care as long as it's not the same thing two days in a row. I cook on the weekends to spread that between my "doggy bag" meals and I cook everything from paella to oriental, changing up from meat to vegan meats whenever I feel like it.

My training is going very well, but my recuperation grows more difficult by the year and that is a little discouraging. Because of this thread, I"m going try sardines again!

I don't eat peas nor do I consider them a credible food source, but I eat pretty much everything else.

There are bad examples of banh mi. It is possible that you just don’t like them, but if you have had limited exposure stay open minded. I had a friend who had a bad, grisly banh mi at a terrible food truck and waited years to be convinced to try them again. That’s like eating a slice of sbarros at mall and deciding pizza is bad.

If this is not your experience and it’s just not your thing, carry on.

As far as sandwiches, I love a chicken achiote sandwich on grilled chibatta with a spicy radish slaw that a local place makes. Their fries are perfect also and this would be my zero calorie selection.

ETA: One of the things I miss about living in the south bay area is this grungy Vietnamese market on Tully just off 101 where the sandwiches were like $2.50 and $.50 for "extra meat".

Beer is by far my biggest (and most enjoyable!) offender for empty calories, so that's a no brainer pick for me.
I went from 6'2 180ish in college to 195ish now and unfortunately the height did not increase with the weight. Blame it all on beer.

If beverages don't count then tortillas are up next. You can put just about anything in a tortilla and it'll be delicious.
