well done, nice platters!

hardly a cheat meal above, take off the bread + sauce and most everything seems pretty nutrient dense.

I agree with the Turkey haters and wouldn't see it as more than a holiday event.

The best hipster restaurant idea we came up with was one that redid elementary school classics; Mashed potatoes with Turkey cubed gravy, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. Tacos that have sat in the shell long enough to become paper-thin and translucent, elementary school pizza with that weird crust. We definitely would have ordered a couple pans of elementary school pizza for our weekly office lunches.

Pro Life Tip:

If you are using a rice cooker to make a lot of rice at once, portion it into 1 qt plastic bags before putting in the fridge. (pick a portion size smaller than 1 qt) Before you use it you can massage all of the clumps out of the rice, apply soy and/or chili sauce, and heat in the bag. Much handier than trying to chisel a serving out of congealed mound of rice.

If you have a rice cooker why do you pre cook. It can't be more than 30 seconds active time to get fresh rice going. Unless you rinse and soak i guess.

Mine is a 4-20 cup monster that when taking the minimum puts out like 6 cups of cooked rice... and less cleaning, about the same prep time making it ahead.

My breakfast every day is coffee and a honey crisp apple, plus either cashews or nut butter or egg and avo.

Dinner is meat & veggies or beans and veggies, usually with cheese.

Lunch is either a repeat of brekkie or dinner

Nuts, cheese and fruit to snack on.

I NEVER EVER EAT:
bread
pizza
pasta
rice
soda of any kind esp diet

I sometimes indulge in:
cookies
cookie butter (by the spoonful)
crackers
chocolate
peanut butter (by the spoonful)

I despise:
Mushrooms
Italian sausages
fatty meat
Mangoes

I have a serious coffee and honeycrisp apple habit. I HAVE to limit myself to 3 iced coffees and 2 apples per day, which isn't easy. I eat the apples EVERY day and yet not only am I not sick of them, I crave their delicious sweetness, juiciness and crunchiness. Watermelon and pineapple are a distant second in yumminess.

Of interest: I used to hate all fruits prior to losing the bulk of my bulk. In fact, I used to think of apples as tasteless and akin to a raw potato. Of course, that's when I was bingeing on sugar like there was no tomorrow.

I love cheese like it's my job. I would love to remove it from my diet and have been considering it ever since I read someone's description of cheese as "congealed cow pain".

Do you have a gluten issue? *Never* eating bread, pasta or pizza of any kind sounds pretty miserable.

i was easily in the 1% of food eating just a couple years ago.. probably spent north of 30k for restaurants/eating out just a couple years ago. Now since i had a bad couple years, im trying to cut the cost as much as possible. my gf also cooks once a week, but she is a fan of whole foods/butchers/dean and deluca , so that really doesnt save money . My favs food are..

Thai
Japanese
Peruvian
Greek
Italian
Malaysian
Chinese
jewish deli.

I typically eat out 5-6 days a week ,, I live in chinatown NYC , so its almost a different restaurant every day but some of my every day favs are

new malay
Bo Ky
little lamb hot pot
uncle boons
katz

etc etc etc

and yes,, i am not in the best shape (5"10 , 280 ) , but i am pretty active physically, so i dont look too obese

pretty much a long shot at this point but I would love to raise just a few animals + land for raising them, organically, and grass fed, the whole nine yards. again, probably very ambitious to even post this but does anyone have info or good reads into some newb like me doing this. I want to eat a lot of steaks and eggs and I want to know exactly where they came from, on my terms, sounds fun, but ambitious

I also have an uncle who I am quite sure does this exact thing, that would most likely be an ok starting point lulz

No gluten issue, but a big ass (glute) issue. I was previously a yo-yo dieter but I have found maintaining my weight loss is doable if I just never eat those carby things, cuz I am unable to eat them in moderation.

At the moment, a jar of cookie butter is on my night stand, along with a dirty spoon, so I wouldn't say I'm great with moderation of that either.

It was miserable in the beginning, but it's not anymore. Really, bread is kinda tasteless, it's all the other stuff that has all the flavor.

Example: Tomato basil mozzarella sandwich w evoo is delicious but even without the bread it's still delicious and all the flavor is there.

Good bread is a lot of things, but certainly not tasteless.

This week I'm eating the same thing every day as kind of an experiment:

Breakfast: peanut butter and banana sandwich on cinnamon raisin toast, apple
Lunch: rice and pinto beans topped with green bell peppers, diced onions, and roasted tomato salsa, carrot sticks, orange
Dinner: stir fry whole wheat pasta with sesame oil, tofu, broccoli, garlic, and soy sauce, diced watermelon

There are a lot of lol things about that link.

- “Food safety expert” declares medium rare steak to be 145 F
- “Food safety expert” doesn’t understand that pasteurization is a function of both time and temp via a logarithmic function and 160 only takes like 10 seconds or something

To be fair, health inspection and food safety is behind the times in general, like a lot of government stuff, so those might be legit HIs who are just uninformed like most of their counterparts who think that plastic cutting boards are safer than wood.

I agree completely - especially about people turning it into a contest.

do you think plastic cutting boards are a "no-no?" Been reading more and more about the potential harm of plastics, they are pumped full of estrogen according to the bros, and ****, even if there are trace amounts that bleed into the products, it's pretty gross and scary to think about.

Top Ten: No sushi? darn. raw milk? if you are getting raw milk from healthy, organic, grass-fed cattle, you are probably getting the best milk money can buy IMO. That stuff that is packed with nutrients and probiotics that are probably killed during ultra-pasteurization.

And one other thing, does anyone here know much about soy? all of the bros are totally against it. The Twitter bros are always referring to incapabilities and weaknesses as "soy," why?

This entire post is lol and calls into question every post you ever make from now on ever. Almost as bad as 280 and 5'10 not looking "too obese".
