Im a bipolar autistic dude whos been fat 3 or 4 times now. Ive had many diets.

When Im maintaining or losing weight I try to eat some variation of

Wake up: Coffee with 2 tsp sugar
Smoothie: 4 oz orange juice
4 oz flax seed milk
4 oz frozen blueberries
1 banana
1 Tbsp chia seeds

2 or 3 hours later half cup of plain oatmeal microwaved. I trained myself to microwave half a cup of plain oatmeal instead of rummaging around my kitchen. I cook it and shove it down my throat. I dont even think about it and then Im not hungry and back to tasks. This is my go to move for a snack while dieting. I will do this 2 or 3 times a day. This might be an autistic thing because I am eating purely for fuel not pleasure. I used to eat a lot of canned soups while trying to lose weight because it fills you up for not a lot of calories before I just started crushing oatmeal.

Protein bars and bottled water gets me to dinner. I only drink water. Try to keep my piss clear.

This gets me to dinner. I crush dinners. I dont count calories but I try not to be a piece of ****. I cook. I have a smoker. Smoke chicken or spare ribs once or twice a week. I got deep into Italian cooking. Bologneses. Pastas Pizzas.

I used to make pizza dough at the beginning of the week which gives you 3 dough balls. I would use them throughout the week with three different proofs on the dough. You just leave it on the counter couple hours before you use it and you got pizza. One ball of mozzarella is exactly 3 pizzas. I used to make a bbq smoked chicken pizza with caramelized onions that I would put up against anyone's ****.

Carnitas for tacos. Japanese braised pork for ramen. Basically I will get a pork butt and do stuff to it. Oh yeah. And eat it throughout the week. I just be cooking things I see on the internet. I bake oatmeal raisin walnut cookies from the Joy of Baking. The recipe with 3 cups of oats. I make big cookies and use them for snacks during the week.

I go out for sushi and mexican food mainly. I love everything but thats what I drift towards.

When Im in a deep depression:
I eat entire bags of fun size snickers. Then I eat a frozen pizza. Then I eat a bowl of cereal thats actually 3 servings. Then I go to Jack in the box. Repeat with kit kats tomorrow. I didnt know that eating **** actually makes you feel better and you go down a **** eating spiral.

I forgot to mention I try to eat fruit and vegetables as snacks. Also Im trying to eat more yogurt for the probiotics and drink green tea. Green tea apparently has a bunch of good stuff associated with it.

a pretty clutch snack is your own trail mix. just grab dark chocolate, milk, white, don't matter, some dried berries, raisins, dried apricot, could probably even go fresh fruit route which I have not done, then walnuts, almonds, peanuts, cashews, just mix and match all day

LOL my trail mix is peanuts and cashews. So much sugar in normal mix. I don't know how people do so much sugar in general.

I like the Blue Diamond wasabi soy almonds. eat 2 oz a day. Also 2 small pink lady apples, get the 3 lb bags they sell at a discount, usually 3 bucks a bag. Normal price for these excellent apples is around $2 a lb at my HEB. I like a tart apple. Keep your HoneyCrisps!

ya, it sucks. I eat pretty well but I do indulge on stuff like that far too often but I am pretty active. I really do want to give zero sugar a trial run. Cut out breads/grains/artificials for a few weeks and see if I feel like Superman. it's tough though, my wife likes to cook and spoil me and my children. Yesterday, it was blueberry pancakes from scratch with 100% pure maple syrup and peanut butter balls(peanut butter, coconut oil, mini mm's, chopped pecans, oats all blended together and then refrigerated(once texture hardens scoop into balls))



can't forget the chia seeds

I love those wasabi almonds. I had to quit buying them because I lacked the willpower to stop eating.

The kind of chocolate does matter. White chocolate is basically just cocoa butter (aka fat), sugar and milk solids and has none of the health benefits that dark chocolate provides.

If you’re going for a ‘healthy’ trail mix, you should always use 70%+ cocoa dark chocolate, 85%+ is even better.

Also dry roasted nuts > oil roasted nuts, especially if you use prepackaged nuts that are usually roasted in the cheapest oil available.

I love the ‘BOLD’ and ‘Crafted’ lines from Blue Diamond, especially wasabi & soy but unfortunately they are also oil roasted. Their oven roasted almonds line has none of my favorite flavors unfortunately.

I am aware of that but it is good you point it out. I have been trying to cut down on the bad oils. In my small sample dry roasted is just as good

The only issue I have with dry roasting is that I still haven’t figured out how to make the seasoning stick to the nuts. Basically the same problem as trying to flavor popcorn without using any oil.

I like cooking and always try to make smth special for my family. Today I tried new recipe of chocolate cookies. I have special food containers that I ordered here https://allinpackaging.co.uk/food-packaging/ and I'm going to take these cookies to work tomorrow. Hope my coworkers will like them too.
